Hi thank you so much!! I have actually thought about making an advent calendar and selling it - the trouble is I don't really have any experience with getting things like that manufactured so it would take me a lot of research and work to get it made! Or I could make it myself and just do a really small number of them...

Yes, that would be nice! I would like to see them make a custom pieces for a micro Death Star, so that the sphere would be created out of 8 bits... although probably that's not very imaginative and would be better if they try to do some Nice Piece Usage. I hope there is a nicer way to built it than my way, because it's a bit of an odd way to build it but honestly I can't think of another way to do it with 10 pieces or at the Advent Calendar kind of scale!

@@GoldPuffin Try 20! that's usually the limit for Advent calendars, then post it on Lego ideas... I think Lego just needs a little inspiration 😅

What are your opinions on the micro builds of lego advent calendars, and do you take any inspiration from them?

I really like the micro builds of Lego advent calendars - my only complaint is that they do get to start feeling very same-y after you've had advent calendars for two or three years. I do take inspiration from them as there are some nice builds in them, especially in the Star Wars ones!

Some of these are a bit of a stretch, though I truly love the creativity and imagination put into these builds. Thanks.

Oh yeah, I didn't even know that's what they were called until a few days ago but I saw someone use that building technique with the stud shooter things and I was like "yeah I definitely have to do that"! :-)

Thanks for the suggestion! I have only watched 2 Star Trek films and about a dozen episodes so I feel like there's soooo much I don't know about Star Trek but I guess I can look things up and build them - this might happen possibly, I don't know yet!

Yes, I realised that when I was building it and it made me unhappy. I spent about 20 minutes trying to find a way to make it look basically the same but without illegal building and I couldn't and then I was like "I need to just do it this way or the video will never get finished!" So yeah, sorry for the illegality!

Hi that's so good to hear!! Yes, I have loads of tips and I made a playlist of my tutorial and tip videos to make it easy for people to find - I'll share the link here. I would say the number one most important thing is to keep doing it and make it fun (i.e. don't put pressure on yourself, just do it and enjoy it). And to keep it fun, don't try to improve everything all at once and don't get sad if you don't improve fast, because you will just improve by doing it and when you look back in a few months or a year you'll be amazed because you'll be like twice as good! @@GoldPuffin great to hear from you i knew you needed to know .this will be all over the board .it a bit hard to focus.the first 56 years of my life i suffered with depression .from the people i live with ,42 years ago jody came in to my life .she knew the person trapped inside the darkness and she never gave up on me .7 years agoshe got me to go to the doctor and i now live in the real world.living in the black ness .color was something that took time to get use to .thats why lego is inportant to me. but GOD started bringing people in my life .these people are my family from GOD.the people in my lego world are my brothers and you have all shown it.there will always be a place in my heart for you guys.i know jody is in heaven with my brother bill to help her and take care of her .and she is not sick any more.hey thi is getting to long more later thank you for being my brother .more later
