I Built A Run-Down House out of Card-Stock. 1/64
Welcome back! This was a real enjoyable build, employing a number of different techniques. I think it’s the "problem solving" aspect of modeling that makes it so satisfying. Hope you enjoy the video! Thanks!

So cool! You are wildly skilled at this. I'd love to see how you would tackle an abandoned convertible with the top up - a shredded ragtop would be a sweet way to feature a models interior.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. That’s a vise from Panavise. Model 396. I love that thing! It rotates and pivots.. very stable.
one wants to go there and resurrect that poor pickup before everything collapses upon it... great work, all those details make it come alive. and that chair, can we call you the miniaturificator? :D oink! (meant in an extistencialist sense, of course)

Yo bro! Great work again. There are a lot of modelers out there, but I like your feeling for the scene. This isn't obvious to everyone, but not many have it. You have to have that in your soul ;)
@VicsModShop

Thank you! I think that’s why I’m drawn to the heavy weathering that you see in abandoned and dilapidated structures and vehicles. At that point, they start to “merge” with the environment. Nature reclaims.. In a given environment, totally dissimilar objects tend to gain similarities over time. Thanks so much! I appreciate the kind words!

@@VicsModShop Nothing to thank for. I can understand your argument very well, as I personally feel the same way. Many people think my dioramas are too “dirty” and the colors are too desaturated. But that's nature. Keep it up, I'll do it too. No matter what people say ;)

What glue do you use to glou foam down on a base and buildings/fencing ect together please?, many thanks👍
@VicsModShop
12 күн бұрын
@@johnsampler520 I used wood glue for the foam to base. Tightbond lll specifically. I glue the truck cab to the foam with “welder” .. a thick sticky craft glue would have worked as well.. I often use Matte Modpodge for much of the details such as weeds and debris laying around. I have so many types of glue and adhesives 😂
hey man!!! how are you? it"s amazing work

That’s a Panavise. They make several different versions and accessories. A little pricey but they’ll probably last a lifetime. No regrets getting mine. Thanks so much!
Is there a good resource you can recommend that shows the conversions for 1:64 scale? In other words, how did you determine the length and height of the building, the size of the pieces of siding, roof squares, etc.? Thanks.
@VicsModShop

Most of it was just eyeballing as accurately as possible using the vehicle as the visual key. I'm sure it's a bit out of scale. But that's a big plus with dilapidated and abandoned subjects.. they can be a little wonky and it still works. There are some scale model calculators online, but I'm not much for math, so I usually wing it. Thanks!!
this is so inspiring its not even funny...
