Dude this is super cool!!! I love how you used only the pieces you already have and didn’t try to make something giant.

Yeah I love that, ppl always go for giant and blocky but he goes for detail and that makes it amazing ❤
Hyped for the new village set
This is so cool mate! It’s making me super excited to get to work on my next medieval vid!

I also love working my MOCs with limitations. I don’t have a very massive selection of parts so I usually go out and buy one set of similar colors and then work with those pieces and my personal collection. It’s always a fun challenge. I’ve just been finishing my helms deep MOC and would love to post it to KZread but really struggle to find time for editing/recording. Maybe one day haha !

I have a small limitation of parts and I don’t like buying new ones so this is very helpful on showing technical and stuff

Oh man i'd love to see a custom helms deep moc! You've gotta post it
Love this little village, every build in it is awesome to see come together. Also, I'm absolutely taking notes frame-by-frame on that roof attachment design. Gonna see if I can adapt it to my own medieval farmhouse. Here's hoping this moc finally gets finished.

Honestly just try and lock it in with basic plates. It was surprisingly simple once i got them to slot together. Good luck 😁
Thanks for the MOC tips. It's all about creativity and thinking outside the box.
These MOCs look fantastic!
You do not suck at building Mocs they look awesome

Thanks! There's always room to improve though.
I love your approach and design philosophy. Use what you have is the essence of building with LEGO. When I build a MOC, I usually try to build as much as I can with what I have before ordering anything. Also, don't go too big. I know that MOCs with tens of thousands of bricks can look awesome, but the art lies with using few bricks to get a result. I also try to recycle parts of existing sets. The Bonsai Tree is a great example. Get it on sale and you have a minifig-scale tree, dark brown for a house or a bridge, 1x1 round tiles for a natural looking stone path and even black tiles to diorama-tise the build (and a truckload of frogs...).

I've been eyeing up the bonsai for so long for parts! Its a great set and honestly pretty fairly priced.
Dark tan is a brilliant color for castles. I'm using a heap of it on my own castle right now. "I don't care because it's pretty" is a perfect justification. 10.10. Personally, I'd have used 2x2 round brick log for the roof, but that's entirely personal taste. Love the build, will be stealing the convex end wall method.
A good way to take parts from old builds without destroying them is finding where you can replace 2 pieces with 1.For instance, 2 1x2 plates of the same color side by side (including if it would be side by side by side if you rotated the build, but not including if the plates aren't parallel both directions) could be replaced with a 2x2 or 1x4 plate of the same color.
Wow. The minifigs are so nice. I love the bakery details and the mushrooms around the tree.

Dude got deep philosophical as hell all while using Lego as a backdrop
Some ideas for your fantasy world: 1. The Undersea Princess: She can be made by taking the Harry Potter mermaid and adding gold shoulder pads, a gold hip piece, a gold trident, and a pair of legs that matches her skin tone. 2. The Monster-Slaying Female Barbarian: She should be very muscular with spiked shoulder pads, a tattered cape, and a massive silver-tipped spear. 3. The Steam-Powered Wood-Cutting Machines: These massive vehicles, used for cutting down trees, can be made using the Hover Hunters from Ninjago.
This looks so good!!! i've been watching your videos recently and i'm amazed by what you've done. i loved the tree in this build!

I'm so glad the video gave you that little push to get back to your moc! 😁
Great video! The roof at 3:49 actually looks really cool in my opinion, i think it adds a lot of character to the house, and i wouldn't say it looks out of place at all. With some extra detail so it's not all exposed studs on the top, i think you could very much re-use it for a future project
These turned out really nicely! I love the little well you made

Thanks! Try starting small if you want to get into building MOCS. You'd be surprised what you can do with a limited selection.
Quiet inspirational ❤
Moc idea 💡 Remade yellow castle same size but in new style and a bit destroyed Yellow, gold or tan colurs
I am in the EXACT same position with masonry bricks!!! Spent my time making custom trees today but now I think I will try making a muddy foundation for a castle structure of some kind.

I really gotta get some! The only ones i have are super yellowed on the "brick" side.
Nicely done my good man lol I'm with you most definitely on not having the right pieces to create a nice lego set I just recently tried making a viking long house cause I'm excited about the new viking village coming up in October 7th but will not be able to complete it cause I need more parts
I build all of my Mocs just from the Bricks I have. I hope that someday this Style of building will get more recognition since its much harder than just placing another BrickLink Order as soon as you lack some Bricks. Great Video man and thank you so much for the Comment under one of my Videos few Weeks ago!

Wow! That looks amazing! Though I do agree that you do not need to buy pieces to build a MOC, but when you physically have no bricks, it sux. Anyways, cool video! Keep up the good work!💪💪💪

Very cool, love the tree. And I really like the smaller scale buildings, it helps make the castle sets out now seem impressive and to scale. My biggest gripe about the ideas blacksmith house is it doesn't scale to the 3 in 1 castle or lion knights castle. Can't wait to see more, keep up the good work

Man, i cant believe you think you suck at mocs. I could never build anything like this, im great at building the sets, like LKC, but I would crumble trying to build a moc.
i love your tree as i am horrible at building trees but i am getting better from training and looking at other trees from other builders.
That build is amazing! I have a ton of masonry bricks and you gave me a lot of inspiration so I might try something similar

windows in medievle times where for a farmer inpossible afforteble and stone was also very expensive but it looks good and it doesn(t need to be perfect so good job the lime walls are realistic tho.
U have instructions for the bakery?
Great video but is the village going to be in your lore? Also i love the smaller scale and the design of the buildings.

@Goldfyre do you have any plans to extend the village? Also maybe you put the village in like a Mils baseplate? I know Mils baseplates are mainly for lego city, but I think it could work as a display for a Lego Castle world, but just an idea.
@Goldfyre
8 ай бұрын
I do have plans to revisit certain aspects of the build and expand it. I am personally not a big fan of MILS baseplates but I do plan on creating a medieval layout sometime in the future.@@user-bd1lv6br6w
the light brown bricks are more accurate, English castles were built out of sandstone and limestone
proudly own the original :)
