I built this gold vacuum using a cyclonic dust separator from eBay. The vacuum cleaner is a 1200 watt wet & dry unit which provides plenty of suction. So the system is not truly portable, it's really designed to be used as a clean out tool for crevices that require a lot of effort to recover bedrock material when working with larger equipment. Very little dust makes it's way back to the vacuum the cyclonic separator is very efficient at removing the dust.
