To be slightly fair, having wide windows on towers was not a thing in the gothic era. Usually, those windows were very small on castles (think Alcázar of Segovia) to both defensive reasons and how hard making wide windows on a curve really is. The type of building with large windows in this era would be cathedrals, and whereas they would have very fancy windows even on curves, those windows would be very tall and skinny. Think Sainte-Chapelle (Paris). So only having the small windows work on rounded walls may be a nod to realism here. Still, kinda lame we got no rose windows in the pack. It isn't like we're overburdened with round windows in the sims 4.

I think a way to "justify" a really giant castle would be to make it a multifamily rental place and then rent out different wings of the castle to different families and let the "queen" be the landlord

As a Brit who's watched your videos for ages I still never get used to all the bathrooms 😂 whenever theres a small weird room I think "oh a fun hobby room!" and you immediately say 2nd/3rd bathroom lol That round space is PERFECT for an easel for a little painting studio, or getting a violin and making a music room! Even FILLING it with plants and having a reading nook ❤

Hehehe.... The Sims use Kayla! Even though innocent. Sims get a lot of Ideas off her channel I’m sure! We all know we have! lilsimsie doesn’t know it but they use her for free advertising and have made a ton of money! I’m a Canadian and I’ve spent 100’s on packs because I liked what I seen with in her builds! We pay 60$ for a game pack! 14.99 and then 6.99! For what sometimes she says is too expensive! Hah! Go Kayla Go! They otta give her a cut! I’m just on console!

Round walls tip: if you run into that problem where you place an object in a round area and then can't grab it again, change the walls view so that the walls are completely down/hidden. It'll work again that way.

The black screen scared me so much- it’s probably just an editing error but it’s so funny how i literally flinched.

Ivy is incredibly destructive to buildings (as is evidenced by it breaking through) so unfortunately sometimes cutting it all down is the only option to stop your whole building coming down. Unchecked ivy can cause structural damage as well as aesthetic/surface damage. You especially don't want that happening if the building is old and potentially historic architecture 🤷🏻‍♀️

The split second where this was going to be a 1 bedroom 3 bathroom house was the funniest moment of my day.

I love how the source of all her stress is the fact that the build is too small so there's no space for anything without trying to use the circular rooms but not once did Kayla think about make it bigger or getting rid of the towers 😂😂😂😂

The saddest thing sims4 did to the supernatural pack was split up all the super naturals into their own individual pack 🥺 I loved being a fairy in sims 3 . 😅 manifesting Fairies! Sometime soon.. I hope. Still great themed build. I prefer the customization part of sims only because I can’t do architecture on sims despite it aligning with my day job 😂 so watching others build really helps. 😅

For the floors, I think the stone with lots of random mismatched rugs everywhere would look great!

I say we do another community vote and get the Sims team to give us spiral staircases for the round walls. I'm surprised they didn't think of that for the castle kit, because most fantasy castles have spiral staircases.

Tips for the vines: Mix and match the different colours together so that it looks purposeful that there's a bunch of different shades of green, this is kinda required if you wanna use multiple packs cause gods forbid EA reuses a colour. Also, don't be afraid to size them down a bunch and layer them on top of each other. Basically do what Kayla was doing but a bit more and it'll fix the "it's all the same thing a dozen times" issue she mentioned.

I wish the curved walls worked better but i think you did such a good job placing and decorating 😍

It was a fairy castle, but now it's an airbnb renovated Fairytale castle

The ivy clipping inside the castle is fine! Think of it like this: most castles nowadays are abandoned. This means that plants like ivy, which are no longer being trimmed, will grow inside. Plus, if you make a fairy castle, they're nature lovers, so they wouldn't mind if outdoor nature lived inside.

As a fan of techwear fashion i LOVE that EA start exploring the theme of buckles, harnesses, and a bunch of strings, like laces, mesh zippers things like that.... except goth is not exactly my cup of tea. I would love them having more of the oversize streetwear/ techwear options.. or maybe a new similar to the sims 3 into the future vibe

A lot of the roof ornaments and decorations specifically for the roof from get together and vampires and cottage of living would look great on most castles because for that small castle on the top that chunky weird fence used it looks too chunky for this type of castle. Get together has a roof ornament that's nice and slender but looks similar to the fence that you used on the roof in the beginning in the catalog the first swatch is black and it would give it a more delicate fairy look

I hope they figure out how to add in spiral staircases soon. I could picture it being like 4 tiles (2x2) and could function similar to a ladder where you can place it anywhere. It would be cool in round rooms, especially the towers in castle builds!

the pack has a lot of uses, imo. Sure, the obvious answer is castles and gothic manors. But the build tools also work well for churches, libraries, old government buildings, museums, mausoleums, and dilapidated ruins.

I kinda wish you had put a lil pond in the exterior, it would have fit the theme sooo well

i usually make small round rooms half bathrooms because you can alt place the toilet and sink and decor and it doesn't usually look too weird🫶🏻
