I could totally relate to your story breaking my leg in Japan! Last spring I came from the United States to see my son graduate from a Japanese university. We did a little sightseeing before his graduation and went to Kyoto to see the cherry blossoms. While coming down the train station steps I fell onto the concrete at the bottom. I didn’t find out that my leg was broken until after I flew home on three planes back to the United States a few days later.

Oh no! I broke my foot 10 years ago, I walked into the hospital asking for a set of crutches till my foot feels better, but they insisted on getting my foot x-rayed 😂 broke the metatarsal bones in my foot! What a long two months.. I pray you feel better soon Nate! And good luck Ruth on the garden! I plant mine next weekend! 🇨🇦🌱

The kiddos seem to really be enjoying the new place! Awesome! This year my husband and I will have been married for 17 years and I feel even after so long we still learn new things about each other! Back in '82, I broke my ankle and had to have 2 screws put in. Never roller skated again! Lol!

Womp womp! Get well soon! I've had a couple of broken bones over the years. I think sprains hurt way worse than breaks! If you had sprained it, i bet you would've needed to be carried back down from that pagoda! I doubt you could've walked on it! At least the view was worth it! Feel better!

Oh my gosh, Nate that is just terrible. I am so sorry. If it’s any consolation, those pictures that you got up near the pagoda of Mount Fuji were absolutely incredible. I hope your leg heals fast and you don’t suffer much pain. I will be praying for you.

I did the same thing back in 2008 with breaking my ankle on black ice downtown Pittsburgh. I was walking on the sidewalk then foot went up & my butt hit the ground. Tried walking just thinking I fell at first then kept falling back down. Had to admit to the doctor 2 nice older ladies helped me over to a building to sit but limped to get there. My ankle looked like a red bouncy ball at the time. Then went to the hospital had surgery on it & was told not allowed to move for 8 to 12 weeks. They gave me a walker because I had a hard time balancing. They wanted to give me crutches & had me try to use them but couldn't keep my balance. That was a bad year... 🤦‍♀️✌️ Hope your leg heal's good~ 🙏

The sakuras are beautiful!! It's nice seeing you hike where there aren't much grouped tourists, making the walk serene and natural. The sakura shower looks magical. My church in Malaysia is huge on Alpha. Ouch! Reminds me when I was in the Navy. I think I fractured my leg but they said it was an ankle sprain. Never did an x-ray so I don’t know. 😬 Prayers for a healthy recovery. Give yourself grace as things will take longer during this time. And rest. 😊

下り坂での踏み外しですかね。ねん挫と思っていたのが、レントゲンで骨折したと分かったのですね。今回は一人だったようですが、でも不幸中の幸いで車を運転できるだけよかったです。全治1か月という事ですが、この際は無理をせずに安静にして完治させるのが一番ですね。

@@LIJ medically induced coma for a month to let them and my pelvis heal, then once released yes it was a wheelchair, then eventually cane and now nothing..but a LOT of arthritis..

Hope you are healing well! The pictures were awesome. Next time maybe you should go on a journey and avoid taking a trip ❤

Oh dear! I pray you have a speedy recovery! Broken bones aren't fun. At least you get the royal treatment! 😂

I've had a lot of breaks/sprains on my feet (I'm very clumsy and it shows LOL)....at this point I don't blame you if you didn't realize at the time you'd broken it, since you were still walking on it when it happened. Usually I realize something is broken when I can't put weight on that area or it's very painful to walk. I actually fractured my left foot about 3 years ago, ended up being in a walking boot for 2 months while it healed, and then about 3 months ago I nearly broke a toe (It sprained really badly), and had to be in a walking shoe for 3 weeks. my feet have changed quite a bit, and you might find after your fibula heals that your shoe on that foot doesn't fit quite as well, or it will feel like your ankle is still a bit swollen for months afterwards. hopefully the next few weeks go by quickly for you!

I think you have a Potts fracture. It is quite difficult to tell the difference between a break and a sprain so people often walk on it without knowing what's wrong. I hope you make a speedy recovery.
