Really sorry to hear about your bad day on the water. You handled it really well. I remember in one tournament i lost 12 fish and that was so frustrating. Well youre still one of the best out there and lots of young people will see how their rolemodel handled adversity and learn from it. God bless!

I honestly think God gave us the need to pursue in order to teach us humility. Or maybe not! Who can say. You rock, remember that!! The relationship with your Grandad, just brings on nostalgia. Mine are both gone now, I really miss their wisdom. Your Grandpa is such a big fan!! Any day you can pick up the phone and look to him for encouragement, is a blessed day.

We all have tough days. I had a trip a few weeks back, tough fishing. Hooked what was at least a 6 pounder but probably a 7 or 8, got it to the side of the boat and the knot broke when I grabbed my net. 100% my fault - should have retied after pulling that jig out of snags but man that hurt. Just remember you can’t win them all but overall you’re very good and be thankful for that. The way I see it is get your head right because you’re due for a big win

Hey Kristine, tough luck on Kentucky Lake. This may not have any bearing on anything, but from watching your videos, I have seen you use two different types of hook-set. One you really rear back and really set the hook hard. Sometimes it seems like you are going to break the back of your seat off. The other type seems like just maintaining pressure and there doesn't seem to be any real hook set, just the pressure. Are there environmental circumstances that determine which you use? Things like type of bait, rod/reel/line combinations? Just curious. Thanks

I admire your courage to do this and post your tough days. At least you have Family who back you on any outcome good or bad. I have no one. You have done super well for so long. You hold your self to such a high standard in this sport. I do also. Over the last yeah now i have come in with a FAT ZERO on my end. My last tournament I skunked so bad even on pre-fishing. It effected me. I come to the realization that I cant do it anymore. With family at home losing support for what I do and constantly have their comments running in the back of my mind all day. I decided to stop. Slowly building up the courage to put up all my stuff for sale soon. Even my last two videos I release I tried so hard to make them honest and fun to watch. But I have lost all desire and hope to participate or even get back on this kayak anymore. Im just glad I did when life was solid on my end. Not trying to make anyone feel sorry for me just being honest as i always have been. Keep pushing Kristine you have the right backing the right group of support. And your amazing even on your tough days. Chine Up Lady. Tight lines.

An increase in hand grip and wrist strength will lower your struggles with netting. Half the length of the net handle is not being used, I'm seeing you struggle to pull the fishing pole back far enough and struggling to stretch with the left to get the fish in the net. The bigger the fish the harder the struggle. I've seen this on many of your videos. You definitely have plenty of flexibility, but the strength, if increased. May ease some of your frustrations. Something as simple as those squeeze grippers you see in all sporting goods stores and online would help and you could easily carry them with you on the road. Go slow to start, they will make your forearms sore if you get them hard enough to test your grip. That's also a sign they are helping. Best of luck to ya, I really think it would up your game.

I've been noticeing that when you set your hook your in the 12 and 1 o'clock position and your not getting a good hook set you need to reel down then set the hook

Your a bass fishing goddess. Wish their were women like you. You're affiliation with Dugout Bait and Tackle is the reason I've started ordering a lot of my kayak items from them. Best of luck in your future adventures.

Imma blame the rod on all those lost fish including the last vid. There's just no way. I dunno for me I lose too much fish on my expensive spinning rod. Switched to st croix and softer rods(For my spinnning), and the difference is clear for me.
