The custom ones are good, but the ones trying to replicate figures that Lego makes are usually low quality

Sometimes knockoffs are hit or miss. But there have been some where the knockoff actually outclassed the official lego minifigs. I bought quite a few knockoffs because of that.

I went to Etsy and bought 10 Tuskens with Gaffi Sticks for a diorama. Free shipping and with a 10% off coupon, and after tax, they were about $1.90 each. To me, they looked as good as the lego ones. Shipping was fast.

I think some of the fake minifigures are so high level like the 212th Airborne Trooper you can just call them custom clones

I think these are alright, here's why. Lots of points mentioned already and I'll just throw my own opinion into this pitt where it will never see the light of a day. 1) These are cheap. Ok, right from a get go, lego always was pricey. When I was a kid a had bunch of lego, star wars and such, but my parents could buy a small lego set or a big chinese one. I picked chinese and looking at it right now it was a fine deal, I had a lot of great experience and now I have a huge amount of various details a can use to create something interesting. Not everyone can allow themselves or their children a lego sets, especially now. You can say that this is not good, bootlegs should be banned but we are living in a real world where to some people it is a big question between feeding their families or buying authentic lego sets, so I am good with the fact there are bootlegs. 2) These knockoffs look great... and horrible. Some of these figures provide a stunning look, while being cheap as hell, most of clones figures not tho. You won't be able to find such detailed figures for such prices. 3) It is a way to get old sets for alright prices. A lot of sets that i like are not produced anymore, except for knockoffs and how can I get one without selling my kidney? I don't want to pay a random guy 1000$, just not worth it when there MUCH cheaper alternative. 4) They sometimes produce something unique. I mean even in video, where can you get a purple pauldrons and skirt? Plastic ones i mean. A lot of unique molds with unique colours. Maybe they're not and just a knockoffs of brickarms or something like that, but I don't care who did it, I care for result and money I spend on it. That's about it I guess

This. I also Love the whole unique/niche parts and accessories packages some other brick companies offer. Lego also does a lot of Sticker which I absolutely hate so I sometimes find printed similar looking stuff which I definitely prefer. There are also companies like Bluebrixx and Bloxx for amazing basic bricks and parts as well as cobi with their focus on some nice looking ww2 themed brickbuilds (I don’t like their figs though). I also found a awesome quality Chinese company which produces a lot of different kind of brick and also more pricey parts for cheap. The quality is good you can most in 10/20/30 or small basic studs and plates for up to 200-500 a package. Awesome for 1x1 pixel builds or for detailing/filling your builds. Bluebrixx for example has basic bricks for like 5-10 euros a hundred pieces. High quality. Note: Bluebrixx doesn’t produce bricks in Germany as I know, but are ordering them from one or multiple Chinese companies. I also did hit some figs or parts which weren’t as good as others like I ordered 200 1x2 plates and 1 was broken, but since you also need to consider they might be damaged on their way to me I wasn’t even mad at all. Lego bricks aren’t immune to scratches as we know, but atm I am quite upset how often it happens with the sets I get. They are of course still usable, but I have yet to hit any non Lego brick company were multiple pieces are scratched (so its really noticeable). I will continue to buy from that company directly. Their support staff is also really awesome. Baseplates: Lego sucks at these if you ask me nowadays. I tested some I bought from different companies and was impressed how good some were in terms of quality and look. I also bought quite a load of fig accessories and parts like heads and hair pieces. It’s always great, if you can change the look on visible faces of your minifigs and since it adds to the immersion (I know we are talking about brick figures 😂) it feels more alive what you create. It’s good to have to companies adding to what Lego started in my opinion. What I absolutely despise however are those guys trying to sell you actual Lego stuff, cause I can tell, if it isn’t based on pictures. I don’t mind ppl trying to sell non Lego stuff. I love variety and stuff like that, but that’s scamming ppls money. eBay Kleinanzeigen (eBay „ads“) for example is a german private sale website where some ppl sometimes try to sell these non Lego stuff as Lego which an earn them more money in return and since I also have and use Aliexpress and other websites myself I can definitely tell when they try to scam you. What a shame, if you ask me. Figs can be a hit or miss so if you guys want to buy figs try to look for reviews with pictures so you can see if those are good or not!

I recently bought some Arc troopers phase 1 off brand on amazon and honestly they look even better than lego. The material does feel weaker tho

3rd party are excellent you can bag out their looks but those prices are amazing compared to Lego.. It really shows how much mark up on Lego there is.

I will say knockoffs should be no more then $2. Recently bought some and they were only $1.25 per figure. Please don't overpay for knockoffs. Trust me, don't be paying more $5 for the Cody or any at that point you're getting dropshipped at a high price.

I’ve been tempted to get knockoffs of minfigs I don’t think LEGO will ever make, like the Republic Commando Delta Squad or phase 1 arc troopers. If I see some good ones I may break down eventually.

I’d say the bad clone troopers are pretty good for custom prints, just use some nail polish to make them blank, (my experience)

i actually like the bulkier delta squad more, the armor fits them in particular

i have theses knock off lego ww2 German soldiers, and there detail is off the charts. they have accurate equipment on there back , unique back printing, and printing on all sides, they also are wearing camo smocks, and since they're wearing them / so they left out the rolled up smock's on the back since there wearing there smocks (dtail) also the ss have the correct collar badges

What did you do to the first vid

A thing i noticed with etsy or even aliexpress lego minifigures, many shops sell the dame batch of minifigures. Like one week i was scrolling through etsy and saw some fallen order stuff, i did want a cal kestis, didn't look bad just didnt fit him. Then next week, the same shop you bought from starts selling fallen order figures, like the exact same ones. I wonder if its from same company, just pretending to be multiple people, but have different prices? Or are shop owners buying from other shop owners and reselling but like a dollar or pennies more? Its a weird thing happening there
