The guy had a SERIOUS sticker addiction holy crap. I've never added stickers to any car ever, and don't understand the draw.

I have a 13’ mk6 golf R, she’s my baby. So cool that I can learn more! Got mine 65k miles April 2021 but was pretty built. I was thinking about starting a KZread or something myself because I have no idea what I’m doing but some great friends, and an awesome mechanic who help me.

I had my first encounter with a golf R the other day. I was driving my 04 comp g gtp with moderate bolt ons (1.9 rockers, t stat, pcm, full exhaust, headers and intake) this car was behind me and the color looked unusual. We were at a stop light light and I was getting ready to merge on the highway. As the light turned green, he revved his engine behind me and I noticed the MK6 headlights along the R badge up front. He had no front bumper but a big intercooler. He probably saw my vacuum gauge cluster (previous owner installed but never finished) that was not working and assumed I was clapped out or just faking. I knew he had more power than me but I had one thing that he did not have which is instant torque. I merged on the freeway like I usually do, full throttle, as first gear is not slow but nothing to brag about. Second is the go gear in my car. From 60-90, the comp g will surprise most newer faster cars. He waited and then brake boosted and I saw him catching behind me but never enough to pull ahead. This was in traffic on a 55mph two lane highway. It was the perfect scenario for the GTP. He was chasing me but could never pass me. Every time he got full boost, he had to slow down because of traffic. I then got in the slow lane to pull off my next exit and I gave him the thumbs up while we were side by side. He pulled away angrily weaving in and out of traffic around 80-90mph. He was definitely faster and would gap me hard on an open road. However, it felt really good showing him all the positives being supercharged.

The new Mk6R must have an intake runner flap delete sounds exactly the same as mine with out the RFD APR file to adjust the fueling for cold start 😉

Why have you stopped uploading I really enjoyed the mk6 R videos there’s not many channels that post mk6 stuff

If you want a great daily thats amazong on gas that isnt hybrid. Get a Honda fit. Ive owned two '07 honda fits, put 175k combined miles while owning both and I get 30+ MPG's, currently getting 35 city with no A/C. Best dailys ive ever owned.

The bigger calipers look like the 18Z calipers, 6 piston brembos. From the 2003-2010 Cayenne Turbo S

It was an option for the GTI and 6r. Called KESS.

check measuring blocks 090,091 and 093 to see if its out of time and condition of cam adjuster, should have a cam alignment code then but you never know I liked the video as i always do with your content but you already have one 07k why not make a mint low milage R and sell it :)

Did you have this car for sale on FB marketplace about two months ago?

It’s a clean start to be honest, just thinking of what could be swapped into the chasis makes me moist. I’ve been thinking of committing blasphemy and dropping a k24 in mines. Please be gentle and don’t kill me.

I just recently bought a 2012 golf r. It’s pretty criminal how little info I can find about them or videos on them. I love mine though, and yours seems like a solid base to work from. I have one question, well 2.. which engine and turbo is in it? because I can’t find a straight answer, and this is also my first VW. I just moved back to the states from Germany and had to buy one.

The engine is the CRZA which is essentially the same (but has stronger internals) as the BPY from the mk5 GLI/GTI. They’re both called the 2.0T FSI (or TFSI but definitely not the TSI…that’s in the mk6 and mk7 GTIs). The CRZA turbo is the k04, whereas the BPY had an IHI turbo that was k03-sized. Let’s get this content moving g I’m a MK6 R owner mines is in the garage now being fully forged and will be running a G25-660 turbo as I’m more of a street racer at the weekends I’ll be running WMI to got the same colour to and using the best pistons & rods money can by 🦾 had the choice of a R36 turbo lump or RS3 swop but i wonna do it on my 2.0L T fully polly bushed front & rear ARBs with a RS3 7 speed DSG box so I’m buzzing for it,got it booked in for early January and I’ll be mapping the RS3 box with the TVS software I’ll be putting what i can on my little KZread channel specially more on the channel wen it’s done just going out on hacks Anyone like to subscribe I’d be grateful MK6 golf R is the best made best looking golf imo
