This is a great direction for high end weaponry, putting enormous damage on the table, but creating an intuitive skill check in order to fully maximize it. On top of that skill check, we don't punish players for failing the skill check, we just reward those that can pass the skill check. Excellent weapon design.

In one transaction, definitely the bolg. I think that one can argue that bolg isn't necessarily needed for high level pvm, but it allows you to do lots of damage, be a bit more chill and feel like you don't need to be efficient in your rotations 24/7.

It also makes PVM'ing on the Mobile Client slightly easier too. I can vouch for that, I definitely can.

When I saw you were thinking about getting the bow, I started thinking that I hope you make a vid on it. Thanks for doing it!

Bought fsoa at 5.1b way back when. What I like about BOLG as compared to fsoa is that you don’t need to buy all the extra stuff that you do for fsoa. Just get BOLG and use your abilities the right way and you’re good.

In a similar situation myself. Just bought my bolg after using xbows with hydrix bolts and sgb for a while. I found out pretty fast how adren starved you are without bolts so I've started bringing a deathspore arrow switch everywhere. With all the crit buffs you just build 5 stacks with grico, then incend/DS and pump damage. Trust.

The best place to use the bow is solo kerapac. My kill times were 4:45 with magic. I instantly slaughtered that time to 4:30 then when I got better I was able to get 4:02 with range and BIK arrows.

Not immediately though, you'd still want to get a hang of the bow and learn how Poison Builds Work, in that case the Roadmap goes like: Elite Dungeons 1 and 2 - Arch Glacor 500% and up - Hard Mode Kerapac - Solo Solak - ED's 1-3 (with 1 Cycle Seiryu and BSD Flight Skip). E: Do note most of these bosses can be done even on mobile, but there's not many of us doing it.

Congrats on the big purchase! I'm saving for the bow now myself and I'm so excited!

got my bow a few weeks after zammy came out and it has been amazing learning what abilities to use to set your stacks were you want them is key

I’ve bought it and never regret it. It hard at first but after you get used to it, its super good for ranger. I dont think hes better than fsoa since magic has animate dead which objectively better and versatile, but if you a range user, this bow is huge DPS upgrade and super fun to use. Take me a few hours to get used with the stack but definitely worth it.

I want to get better at Ed1 but I cant 2cycle the crystals in the end can you do that with this bow? :)

This bow is really fun to use at ed2, hitting so many 10k's with the spec and it's nice to finally be able to take a break from my fsoa

Ah yeah I feel that o always activate the book when doin solak because it’s feee and doesn’t use anytime there. So it’s super nice, plus you’re always guaranteed a grim page every kill I solo’s or even in 4 man’s. So I keep my grim charger at 24th s for feee basically at all times, then I sell the extras, really good way to farm money it’s like 70 mill an hour without uniques

I much prefer using the bow over fsoa as I don’t have to rely on crit rng all the time. My only issue is the arrow upkeep for my iron ☹️

I agree but the longer I use staff the higher my ceiling goes, where with the bow I noticed immediately it was more dpm but leveled out

Try doing bold spec into g Rico. It gives you instant 3 stacks so you can immediately send into a thresh

At this price I will be only seeing it in videos lol

I would say if you have an OSRS account that can PVM then you are kind of set. I made 790M pvming and I traded that 790M OSRS for 7.8B RS3 from a gold swapping clan.

I’d recommend taking a look at the alt 1 BOLG tracker. Makes the Icon larger and much easier to track when you get the double-hit.

hello man nice videos, have you ever tried shield bow switch instead of crossbows? i personally don't like switchscape but strykebow bow is underrated or forgotten for range when using bows i think. Tell me what you think?

Blights gives him the option to use chins thou which is really useful when killing those minions at AG.

Got mine for about 6b a few months ago, no regret at all its been the most fun to use. My kills at Glacor are super smooth even at 1500% enrage, and hardmode kerapac is so fun with it. I'm even doing up to 300% zammy kills with it and having a blast.

Arch Glacor and HM K'pac with a Poison Build is the most fun one can have in RuneScape if one loves ranged and a challenge. 300% Solo Zammy i'm dubious, 300% Duo i could see, but it takes a particularly skilled person to do 300% Solos with Ranged, i could even count them with one hand.

This bow is an absolute machine at Arch Glacor 800%+ when you can start maxing out your Bik stacks. With a Wen book, the poison procs hit so often you can't even see your other damage numbers. Just constant 4-8k poison hits, every hit of the Wen book, every grico hit, every SGB hit. Pretty sure it ends up doing more damage than you do, haha. I don't keep any track of the count. We end up using so many big abilities that I just let the game average out by me playing normally. I think grico also throws off the count, because of all the hits. So you really have to be mindful of what's going on, and you probably need to become quickly-familiar with where a grico is going to put you on the count. Like if you are at 2 and a grico hits 7 times, that's gonna go through 3, 4, another full 1-4 and land you back on 1. So it's a bit mental tbh. It also takes a moment for the number to update sometimes. So idk if it is even worth trying to track.

stalker's ring goes well with the bow too :)

@@NuzzNuzz Also look into Nightmare Gauntlets, they may not seem like much now, and the effect may be underwhelming, but wait until jagex looks back at them again and buff them, that's when you'll regret not getting the upgrade when it was cheap. Not as a long term investment however, but as a medium term, it either gets buffed or not, whichever the case you still get a nice bonus :) E: I'm talking about the Enchantment. :P

Grico is probably the other upgrade that I saw the most actual difference right away.

Hey Nuzz, tons of necro videos being released by everyone right now. I just came back to RS3 and grinded to 99 Necro, but now I want to speed level some ranged. What would you recommend? I heard the elite dungeons were nerfed an no longer provide strong exp/hour.

Bolg was the best purchase I ever made at 6.8b (my bank is like 10b so I'm not particularly rich). Totally worth it

why aren't you using the bow ring?

Alot...... Botlg is insanly good and fun to use, and price is sailing something like between 4.9-7b and you should put sgb to eof... :D

I spent 6.7b on the BoLG and it was the best GP I’ve ever spent. I’m a revo camping casual who hasn’t done anything more complex than Raksha and 99% enr Zammy. It’s just a fun weapon to use, helped improve my kill times and overall made me really like ranged again. The only downside is the spec animation is so good all I want to do is spam it

Did you end up putting your SGB in EOF?

You should put it in the EOF so you can use the spec with enchanted bolts. lol.

Haven't really bought anything to expensive yet 😃 I definitely plan on getting a sgb one day when I get better at pvm because right now my go per hour at anything is very bad LOL

I’m my opinion smithing and mining is the best money maker. Nader 100 mill just of rune bars and scrimitars +3. You need about 20k rune bars but it’s worth it

For poison builds, give the healing crystal a try :) it’ll ensure you are never on 100% hp thus your reaver will have 100% uptime. You can get it from Morvrans slayer challenge in priff

I do have it and usually use it at solak and stuff. But at higher enrage glacor I found it a bit annoying since my hp is usually low already since glacor hits pretty hard through prayer.

Wen book is incredibly strong for poison build as well v grim. Those icy beam hits can proc poison too. Can agree that anything above 1200-1500% glacor the crystal is kind of annoying but Excalibur+reaver scrolls help tremendously with that problem. Kills are only 3-4.5min so reaver won’t run out of health in that time period. Dw blight switch with onyx bolts can save you if you’re super low on health too. Bolg op

U cant take the item out agin. The stuff u put in wil be there forever but u Can change. To use the eof spec u have an ability just click at the ❤ abilitys u Will find the eof ability

This a dum question but how are you using the dark bow spec

You put a dark bow into an essence of finality, which then allows you to use the dark bow spec with any range weapon

Mage has the advantage of having cryptbloom for insane survivability which is a very big advantage outside of DPS, but range can deal out some insane damage like magic.

@@AdityaDahiya99 fsoa does have higher potential damage but also has more rng involved, if you don't Crit much then botlg can deal more DPS. Can also be a matter of cooldowns, fsoa spec is a long cooldown so places where cooldowns get reset or reduced (which doesn't effect fsoa spec cooldown) like Kera and Zammy the botlg can end up dealing more dps

But when is it going to drop? 5b ish isn't a low price

It’s kinda bullshit that the ZUK sword is so trash and cheap. Only reason why it’s expensive is because no one wants to kill HM Zuk. Other T95s were going for 5b+ but Jagex had to do melee dirty.-

5 minutes and 30 seconds is a bit too long for blights at amby. I can do amby 4 minutes and 30 seconds using the wyvern crossbow.

Yeah I think I messed up the spinners and had to do a 2nd round, I don't have much experience with Ambi tbh. But the 2 minute reduction showed just how easy the bow made it in comparison.
