Earlier today I went on a 10 minute rant my girlfriend about how all of the Splatoon amiibos are just the exact same thing. Almost all of them are just inklings except each time they’re a different color. There are so many cool amiibos Nintendo could make for the series, but all they ever do is inklings. Shortly after that rant I get recommended this video. I think this is the universe trying to get back at me

I think the most clever use for amiibo is actually in hey pikmin. In that game any amiibo you scan you can find in the game and then olimar we’ll give a brief and funny description about the amiibo without knowing any of the context of who the character is. He calls the inkling girl amiibo “the exhausted soldier” and he describes it as “Someone made a statue of a normal-looking girl with a gun. Well, mostly normal. She has dark circles under her eyes and, once again, a gun. Maybe she has to fight without ever resting? I hope someday she wins her battle”. (Also the pikmin amiibo is $100. Wtf)

Most Splatoon amiibo are really cheap because of the rerelease, most of them are only worth 10$. If anyone want’s to buy the hole set, find sellers who want to get rid of the hole collection and then try to haggle with them. If you’re lucky you could get them all for maybe only 250$.

The Callie and Marie outfits are actually kinda weird. So In splatoon 1, if you scanned Callie or Marie. They would perform a song of your choosing in the plaza during a splatfest setting. However when Nintendo ported the amiibos to splatoon 2. They gave the Agent 3 clothing (splatoon 1s protagonist) clothing to the squid sisters. So that’s why it says “check out our fresh new songs!” On the back

I think the music is for Splatoon 1 only. You can choose what song you want to hear (including a solo song) but it's the only way to see nighttime in the lobby (can only be in the lobby area btw).

One thing I saw someone's true comments about splatoon idles, ( Pearl) "SHE HAS A BIG FOREHEAD AND IS SLIGHTLY ANNOYING!"

U don’t have to open the boxes to use amibo. If you press in the bottom of the box a little bit with ur joycon or Dpad it still works

Only works with newer amiibos or reprints. amiibos older than Min-Min prevented you from scanning the amiibo while in-box.

Most splatoon amiibo where restocked in Germany, even the octo expansion ones. I was defenetly lucky to get those and pearl and marina.

woolly world can actually do more unlocks yoshi of scanned amiibo Unlocks alternate colors of every in game yoshi Poochy amiibo unlocks different poochy skins (if you have 3ds) and allows you to call poochy at any time Yarn yoshi amiibos bring in another yoshi

Actually, the Splatoon 3 octoling boy does have a cut in the middle of his hair, you just couldn't see it. Because one time I peeled his bangs off:P

Good video 👍(also if you have trouble with the back of the boxes where you can't open it, squeeze the plastic sides so you can open it without scissors or a knife. I'm not good at explaining, but hope this helps)

NOO, theres a way easier way to unlock all the amiibo gear in splat 3, scan the amiibo in splat 2 first and then in splat 3, it gives you all the gear automatically in the 3rd game (you still have to unlock all them in splat 2 unfortunately) this doesnt work with callie & marie IF you didnt beat the story mode, if you scan them im splatoon 2 itll just come up with a note saying theyre busy. this also doesnt work with the splatoon 3 amiibos since theyre not in splatoon 2 ofc

i love the splatoon amiibo, unfortunately i still need to get the splat 1 recolors and the octolings

As much as I’d want to I have zero room to keep those boxes

There are still a lot of Splatoon amiibo figures I’m missing, I’m missing the pink Inkling Girl from Splatoon 2, several other variants of the inklings, the octolings, Deep Cut, I believe that’s all of them so far. But the Splatoon ones are my favorite to collect.

I have all exept the pink splatoon 2 inkling and the deep cut ones not yet released.

You think scanning all of these for one person is bad, try doing it 3 times over. Me, my wife, and my son all play Splatoon, so when 3 came out we all wanted the outfits. The worst part is with the “come back for more” mechanic, you have to do them SEQUENTIALLY as they have to be registered to the user. I’m looking forward to the Deep Cut amiibo, but a part of me knows it’s also going to bring another 9 rounds of amiibo scanning in our house.🫥
