I also have Tesla stock, and it's been a roller coaster the past couple years. But I would still stay with a Gas car that can be filled anywhere.

Can you put tesla offline, so tesla does not know anything about the car, just to charge home and not share any location or stats with tesla

Great video. Nice points. Most important thing like you mentioned will be the need to relearn habits like tracking charge levels, how to drive the car, learn to control speed more carefully because of differences in visual and aural cues then an ICE vehicle etc. Enjoy your new car!

The range anxiety alone stops me from buying, for now, things might change in the future.

Why do you say tires ? You don’t need to do burnouts every single time you drive. Just don’t spin the tires.

Tesla is known for their high torque so the tires wear out much faster than normal cars. You can look it up to get more information.

@@KLEANTRIXThat is technically true. But the amount of wear depends on how heavy footed you are. The same holds for any vehicle. The harder the acceleration from zero, the more the burn and wear on tires. And the amount of possible wear increases with the weight. But it also depends on the driving style. Tesla vehicles will allow you to take off very fast but there is no need to if you prioritize maintaining your tires (and every thing else) 😊

@@mariomenezes1153true. However the issue is this level of acceleration has never before been available to the general public. And that’s EVs in general and not necessarily just Tesla. People were burning through tires in the 1st gen Nissan leaf. It’s an adjustment and many don’t make it until the second (or third😂) set of tires.

The weight of the vechicle wears out the tires too.

@@cheefussmith9380 isn't that a pretty extreme example ? A Nissan Leaf has some 7.4 sec 0 to 60 time. Sure, it's faster at very low speeds but you can easily do similar times on an engine car, don't need to be EV. And so if you don't do that at every stop light I don't see any reason to go through tires all that frequently.

Congrats on the new car! Was not really expecting you to get a tesla considering I only watched your genesis videos. But telsas are cool. My only thing with Teslas is the fit and finish and build quality is sub par. Also, the Model S to me at least just doesn't feel as solid as my genesis (like it overall has a flimsier cheaper feeling to it). It's crazy how much these teslas still go for. Granted new that car would have probably been at least 70 grand. Also for about 40 grand you can get a 2017-2019 Genesis g90 used with reasonable miles. And trust me that car is a huge upgrade over the 2015 Genesis. My dad has a 2018 G90 5.0 and it's a huge step up over my 2015 3.8 genesis sedan in terms of ride, power, quality, and feel. Still the teslas are cool and that autopilot and tech never gets old!

Trust me... I really considered the new G80s. However Tesla has been good to me in the past years in terms of the stock, so its time to give back lol. Also, Autopilot is insane.
