Great guitar and great video! Sorry to see local music stores closing. I'm an older fellow and remember when every house had an upright piano and all of us kids learned instruments for a few years; piano, trumpet, trombone, whatever. Everyone learned music and had an appreciation of how hard it is to play instruments well. The now famous 10,000 hour rule of practice to get good/mastery of things. Old man yelling at cloud - but seeing the younger generation of today with a screen in their faces in lieu of music or art is a detriment to our collective society. Thank you Jeremy, for your channel that pushes the value and benefits of learning and playing music!

I’m right there with you. My first guitar , purchased in 1968, from a small shop long gone. The owner sold me a 1968 Gretsch semi hollow body electric. Let me make payments, no fees because I was a kid who cared. You could not find those shops today. Happy New Year

After watching your video of why your guitar business didn’t make it.. brother I hope and pray that you make a killing throwing material out here for us to watch so that it’s a full time job doing what you love (at that point it’s not a job 😊) and in 2023 we’re watching videos in your brand new studio at your brand new empire of stringed instruments. Not sure if you have ever herd of Neil Kendrick, he lives about 10 miles down the road and makes a stellar dreadnought. Josh Williams plays one. Josh Williams also has Tony Rice’s guitar which used to be Clerance White’s guitar.

The Tenor Guitar is basically a Tenor Banjo neck on a Guitar body. It's tuned & played like a Tenor Banjo but w/ a Guitar sound. These were made when Banjoists had to switch to Guitar back in the 1920s and 30s which is that "Transition Period from Banjo to Guitar".

I had an early 1936 martin tenor guitar once. I traded it straight up for an early 70's super reverb

The Sunburst Finish gives it a Vintage Jazz Vibe. Changing those friction pegs out to Guitar machine heads would be a good upgrade cause it's steel strings & also the headstock is paddle shaped.

The problem is the big online retailers make to easy and they can out price mom and pop shops. Like I told you last week I got $3200 Taylor 524ce for $2200 how do you compete with that. And to boot the guitar cam perfectly ser up.

John Pearse #450 Tenor Guitar Strngs & Guitar Right Angle Machine heads would be a good upgrade for that tenor. Add a Recording King Pickup & you've got a cute little Jazz Tenor.
