He was very sharpe and active for his age. I can only hope to be like that when I’m his age. His wife told me that she would rather die standing then sitting around doing nothing. I hope to follow that same path when I’m in my 80’s. New life goals.

100% I’m a collector first and foremost. There is an emotional connection with any collection. The good thing was he was at the end of selling the collection process. He had already sold off a couple of thousand pins before this. It’s the first time selling off the collection that makes things more difficult. Thanks for checking out the channel!

I normally would of walked away from a deal this big. About a month prior, I met this gentleman at his garage sale. I bought 600 pins from him and was able to sell all of them off for a nice profit. I had a nice sample size. I am now going to sell a lot of these off on whatnot, which is an online auction site. It’s just going to be a lot of work.

Definitely great stuff for Whatnot. Considering who you got that from at least less worries about fake or scrapper pins. Those lanyard and hidden mickeys aren't big money makers im guessing your trying to wholesale those out?

My biggest concern was getting the pins from a reliable source. This was my second purchase from him. As for the hidden Mickeys and lanyard pins, I may just log a couple up and sell them in lots on whatnot.

It was def confusing and slightly difficult. I had already dealt with him in a previous video. It was a lot for him to go through. You have to understand that was his life's work for the past 20 years. I know I had to take my time with him. I could tell he was getting confused but he did have everything written down. Which the correct information compared to what he originally told me.

If you were putting on ebay, it would take forever. I will run these on Whatnot and do buyers choice so I dont have to list and photograph anything. We ran an auction last night and sold a little over 100 pins for almost a $1,000. It was def worth it. The good news is, they dont take up much room. I can just take my time with them.

I have dealt with him in the past. He was a little over the place and got confused. He had all the right numbers written out. So I went by that. He is 84 years old. I have to give him the benefit of doubt.

I think it was a good buy. "Lots of work" but do whatnot's (lol you just said that in the vid). Only strange thing was he had a friend - who was at the original buy? - come and go through the pins? sounds like a cherrypicker, but all good, at this price you cannot lose. Are you goinfg to do a lot on the starwars pins? :)

I originally met him at his garage sale. Some lady was coming buy because she wanted to get a couple of pins. I ended up buying them all before she got there. I ran into her at the sale. She just seemed like a regular collector.

There is a young couple in Florida that are on you tube w their channel, can’t find them! Right now. He collects Disney pins!!! He and his wife Stacey go to sales to resell. He might buy bunches. 😊

I’ve had way worse negotiations with a lot younger people. With it being $20k worth of pins being off $500ish dollars isn’t bad for an 84 year old man. If I was willing to pay $5140 no issue I’d have zero issue with the extra $560 as long as I knew it was just a mistake which it clearly was.

I don't think this made ANY sense ... selling a pin at a time .. the time.. yuck Good luck dude.. genuinely. Get an appraisal and find a collector . Saving grace is the yt at least you get content.

I run online auctions on whatnot. I just put up a big stack of pins and let the buyers bid. We do winners choice. We have already sold about a 100 pins for $955 in about 1 1/2 hours. We should do very well with these. I do agree with you on one thing, it will take a lot of time. We will start running small lots as well. We just want to keep them moving.

Massive haul may take a while i would have called in reinforcements to go in and help move them faster between all your platforms if that was a big financial risk for you if not get that paper man #allthehomieseat

I have a plan already in place with them. We were able to move about a 100 pins and got back a 1/6 of our investment already.

Truly sad that this elderly couples son has not come to visit them in 15yrs 🥲
