For anyone who’s concerned with the Axolotls. I wish I would’ve shown in the video, but yes I did do the research on them. And I regret not having someone who specializes with them speak in the video. We ended up NOT buying one, and I recommend for anyone else wanting one to not get one unless you’re ready for a 15 year long relationship. From what I read online prior to recording, was some family owned shops should be good to buy from. Which is why we went to the 2nd shop, i’m not sure why they have them in small cups. Which I don’t condone in the slightest. This video was simply made to show people how cute they are in real life, but I definitely didn’t talk enough on the fact that they are endangered. I also knew there wasn’t a blue axolotl, it was meant to be a “myth busted” when we wouldn’t find one, but ended up finding a little cyan baby and called it blue. I will try my best to do better on informing later in the future, I got too ahead of myself wanting to see them in person myself. ❤️

I've had a pet axolotl for 7 years. I got him from a pet shop, second hand when he was about 10 years old. I am a minecraft player, and I have played the game for probably longer than I have had him. He is coming to the end of his life, and I am so incredibly happy that when he finally passes away, I will be able to remember him whenever I play this game. In my survival world, I have already created an aquarium just for my minecraft version of him, and have given him a name tag and everything. I'm so happy that minecraft has added this wonderful feature.

The ones their buying are domesticated ones. They are made just for being pets and stuff. When you hear axolotls being endangered, it meant the wild ones. Currently, in their own local area, they don't reproduce much due to invasive species and also the old traditional farming from meso American times which made the axolotls very widespread isn't widely done anymore.

Blue ones, at least I believe, are not natural in the wild. They exist from people who physically change the colour the animal through injection and acid. It is very painful. Cyan is quite rare though,as it is natural I believe. By the way, only the wild ones are going extinct. The reason we can't just get some from shops and put them out there is because they will be domestic, and they will die. Why do I type so much for such a simple thing

I agree with "please don't impulse buy an Axolotl." You should not impulse buy any pet, I used to do that when I was younger with goldfish. I didn't properly do my research and multiple of the goldfish died rather quickly and I still feel awful about it. I eventually sorted myself out, and I moved the remaining goldfish into properly sized tanks. Don't spread misinformation though, THEY WON'T GO EXTINCT. Any axolotl bought is bred in captivity. Even if somebody impulse bought an axolotl without properly doing their research (that sucks for them, I'm so sorry for the axolotl) it wouldn't affect the 1200 status, since that's in the wild. Even if they did go extinct in the wild, the breeders have to keep a population of axolotl for breeding. Meaning that there's literally no way that they could become extinct from impulse buying. I mean A for effort, but I'll give you about a D- for execution.

It took me about an hour or two to spawn a blue one, but it took a long time to find it bc it was crowded with other axolotls

So apparently, if you help an axolotl slay a Drown you get the same regen as the axolotl + some kind of achievement

It breaks my heart that they are just sitting in containers all day, god pet stores are so sad, they have no room to go anywhere

Not almost impossible! Just a lot of work!

They eat earth worms, blood worm, and black worms (frozen). Do not feed them fish, you will also find some treats at pet stores. You will also need the proper filter and will need a temperature changer (I don’t know what it’s called) make sure you have a lot of hiding places they can be very shy, after awhile they will come out so you can feed them and you can pet them sometimes. Hope this helped, if you cant do this I suggest do give it to someone who can.

Don’t forget brine shrimp! And bloodworms are just the rice crispy treat in the axolotl world, black worms and earth worms are the proper food to give to axolotls.

Yeah, that's really rare for a BLUE axolotl I think there used to be a green one in the trailer right next to the guardian on the left.

Fun fact: Minecraft add axolotl in the game update is because of tell other human to protect axolotl BUT those human think they are cute and buy all of the axolotl and doesn't care about the food, healt, tempreture etc

These animals can also grow a body part aftr it cut or eaten by another animl

When they were added, my friend and I went insane for them. We were looking for a jungle, and then started mining and i a hole we found 5 axolotls. 2 pink, 1 brown, 1 white, 1 yellow. We made a personal home for them. :) Edit: just to clarify, this was in Minecraft, not irl

Just as a note for people who might want to get an axolotls since they’re on Minecraft: Axolotls are high maintenance pets that can be hard to look after and you have to do tons of research or else you won’t be able to look after them, please don’t just buy a whole living animal just bc they’re a trend :/

We got my brother an axolotl before we knew they were going to be in the new Minecraft update

Story time. I was watching this because I had been calling legit everywhere in my state searching for axolotls. I was about to give up when finally I called a store that said they had 3 or 4 Pink axolotls and I had been looking forever. They are babies about 3-4 inches. I’m so happy and going to get my baby Saturday!

Pls take care of that they are critocally endangered researchers are starting to breed them inside the lab edit: and yeh they also need a big tank like a big one

Please do not gifts animals, aquiring pets requires research and careful planning, gifting animals like that often leads to them being kept in inadequate conditions or abandonment/neglect. And even if your friend is taking good care of it, videos like these are teaching to kids and teens that it's ok to spontaneously buy pets because it's "cool".

You’re making me one in axolotl too and you actually encouraged me to try to get a blue one in the game it’s impossible how did you do that that is impossible but you should still show the boat the blue axolotl I’m still rooting for you to get to Kit

if you go to a shop and they are selling them in cups like this DO NOT BUY! i know you want to save them but they will be in poor health and you buying them will only let the owners profit meaning they will continue to sell them the best thing to do is inform the authority's if that is an option were you live and yes axolotls are endangered in the wild but not in captivity they breed very well in captivity if you would like to know more there's plenty of great channels that cover it in heavier detail eg. soda pets

(and mislabeled). What you found was an nfp axolotl, which is an axolotl that has a gene from a species of plankton in it that makes it glow. Gfp's, however (what that axolotl was falsely labeled as) is much more common and is actually the great great grandchild of a group of axolotls that were used in cancer and regeneration studies using a gene found in bioluminescent jellyfish.

theres a 1 in 1200 chance of getting a blue axolotl in minecraft and you only can get it trough breeding because the blue variant isn't spawning naturally but theres a 25% chance that it gets the color of one of his parents so when you breed 2 blue axolotls theres a 50% chance that you get another blue

Axololtes are very hard to care for. Do your research before getting them. This way the axolotl lives a happy long life and not a sad short life. Please do your research

Fun fact: the rarest axolotl is the green one it was in the 1.17 update but they didn't add it :(
