My first thought as well tbh. At least it won't be crazy modified. Personally I would have gone with a Triton as the mechanicals are pretty robust from what I've seen with very few issues reported. Part of the reason I bought a Pajero Sport.

@@4x4CampingandAdventures Just got back from a trip and I didn't use 90% of the stuff I took with me. I don't run a fridge so a headlamp and a phone battery bank was all I needed for the whole week and the battery I could charge off USB when we were out driving. Even my brother in law who runs drawers and has all of the crap in them the whole time is thinking about getting rid of them and using the boxes that I use in mine. Carrying all of that weight around when 95% of the time a vehicle isn't off road seems a bit pointless really and it seems that most want to cart their house around with them. So much really lightweight quality gear around but you will pay for it.

So I’ll go into more detail in a future video but a bull bar won’t effect warranty they sell them installed from factory, the mods were picked to keep two things 1: legal reasons and insurance 2: warranty work so keeping it as close to factory as possible will be let in less issues down the track for the 5 year factory warranty.

dude fords customer support is junk, and that maters because those things break, here in nz ford carry 2 engines in stock for them at the dealer level, sorry to be negative but as a mechanic who has seen many rangers on tow trucks, and seen many people burned by them. ask any towie even in auz. the worst thing as they break with normal use, i would suggest you get approval from ford IN WRITING that what you do wont affect your warranty. the bi turbo engine was particulaly bad when towing, in fact before the v6 came out ford here wouldnt sell one to you if you told them you wanted to tow saying wait for the v6 you will blow th 2.0.

@@4x4CampingandAdventures agreed, the ranger is a very nice car, but after reading horror stories. A CURRENT AFFAIRS had a story on the new rangers a few months back (Toyota probably paid for this story...lol). car expert host who gave ford the car of the year, his ranger broke down and he had a bad run around with them, I assume they only fixed it because he was press (this is all on KZread btw. I understand that every car has a story, but ford seems to have more negatives compared to others. Isuzu has their DPF issues and cracked engine bay, which is about to head into class action lawsuit. And Toyota seems to have the least issues I can find, but they took the term "don't fix it if it ain't broke" literally, so they have a almost 20 year old machine on the market. @@4x4CampingandAdventures good idea 👌👌
dude fords customer support is junk, and that maters because those things break, here in nz ford carry 2 engines in stock for them at the dealer level, sorry to be negative but as a mechanic who has seen many rangers on tow trucks, and seen many people burned by them. ask any towie even in auz. the worst thing as they break with normal use, i would suggest you get approval from ford IN WRITING that what you do wont affect your warranty. the bi turbo engine was particulaly bad when towing, in fact before the v6 came out ford here wouldnt sell one to you if you told them you wanted to tow saying wait for the v6 you will blow th 2.0.
Is it really a build if it's not a "game changer"

Why the 2.0 ltr you’ll regret that one day . If you tow anything other than a 6*4 to the tip .

Every review I watched said it was more than capable and honestly I drove both the v6 definitely would is more potent but not enough to justify the 14k price difference, as I said in the video the 4wding and camping I do I don’t need the V6.

@@raybourne5781 you are sadly wrong . What happens if things ever change and they and will and you want to tow ? They are unpowered and highly strung . No thanks not for me . I would rather wait for the right car .
Bit of a downgrade in power mate! But in saying gunna be good to see the build

This doesnt make sense you sold a car because you didnt trust a manufacturer, so you bought from a even more dodgy manufacturer with terrible track record, and a car with essential unproven engine.😢

I didn’t trust Nissan after what happened, in my personal life I know multiple people with Rangers who have not had issues so it was a ranger or a Dmax and I have heard horror stories for both, the Ranger had a nicer interior drove better so I chose that 15000ks in I have not had an issue yet.

All regards that ranger is a fine car! 🚨🚨🚨

@Herosade agreed mate completely with everything you have just said I don’t think there are many if any new cars that will have 0 issues with ownership, the problem with the Hilux is I drive one as a daily and for me they are boring as bat shit of coarse that’s my opinion and I don’t expect everyone to agree I hope I don’t have any issues with the car in the future but if I do you will sure hear about it 😂
