I bought a Raptor 700 new in 2018(gray and black base model with no add-ons). It had torque for days and pulled like a dirt bike, but was kinda iffy on trails(liked to pull you into pockets and holes, but maybe that's just how it is riding on four wheels). It sat in my shed near the woods a long time after that and apparently had a mouse nest in the airbox when I traded it in on my motorcycle.

Awesome new ride man. I agree about luggin it around and vice versa, people on the internet always say the YFZ wont lug around the trails but I disagree highly. once i put a vortex on mine it very rarely stalls at all.

Had a 2006 raptor 700 for 9 years. Had stage 2 cam, ported head, full HMF, tuned on a Dyno tunes for power commander, air intake. Had to sell it to a guy in Evansville to pay for a transmission for my dodge diesel, that I no longer have. Stupid diesel trucks! Had 2 yfz's for a couple years. Sold them due to change in job. Now have an Rmax 1000 sport.

I love my raptor it never gets old riding it. I have 2020. My brother rode mine an had to get one. An got a good deal on a 2013 with the big 3 an A arms an extended axle . It will do 75 mph no problem.

Tell me more about the bumper and heel guards it didn't come with that it shpuld have as and SE? I'm literally about to pick up the same quad in a week from my local Yamaha dealer and I want to make sure I'm getting everything I paid for with the SE. any advice appreciated!

Nice I was always wondered what you would think of the 700 seemed like it would fit your riding style better IMO. I put an an extended axle in mine and it’s planted now, as well as the big 3 with hotcam 3. Excited to see where this goes.

The raptor is a great quad...even in stock form. Yeah, they are alil more narrow than a 450, but the rest of the dimensions are very similar. The power curves are completely different. The weight everyone talks about...less than 20lb difference

I have a 2019 yz450f and trying to wheelie is kinda hard, it’s so peppy so trying to keep smooth throttle is hard. Nice looking quad though!

I agree after more time on the machine but first impression was that of a 400ex if I'm being honest. Didn't take 15 minutes for my mind to change tho

U got some really nice land to ride on

I bought a 2022 raptor for my first sport atv since I was a kid. I'm notused to the power and It always feels like it want to wheel for me haha. My old Yamaha 4zinger had much less torque lol.

My buddy let me try his and I didn’t even get out of first gear shits fast af but its been a while since i road and the trails were small

Mine hates being lugged it’s a 2018 se with the big 3 done. But they definitely have the juice especially in 3rd on the trails 😂

Yep same here you can ride them slower in higher gears but they definitely dont like being lugged especially if you need that instant power on the fly.

I definitely agree with you saying that the stock 700 power is kind of comparable to a stock 400 which is surprising but very true. My 330ex will keep up with both in stock form but the 700 pulls away from us on topend but I’m almost neck and neck with the 400

So I noticed that you later responded to another individual that after riding it more, it's barely a comparison. How about choked when you said it was comparable to a 400 and I was like nah wait until he rides it a little bit more and then jump back on a 400. I dyno pull stock machines on my channel and again after they are modified. The 400s that I've dynoed only have around 30 horsepower and a stock Raptor has about 45 which 15 horsepower is huge on a 400 lb machine. 700 and its stock form is untouchable. The only machines that can really beat it stock for stock is... Well nothing lol. Glad to see you added a Raptor to the Wolfpack. Be safe my brother. Hopefully we can ride again soon!

Especially now that I've added the big 3 🤫 haha we should ride again this winter down south 🤘

I’ve had raptors since the day the 700 came out, they are awesome. Only think Yamaha could change is sell one with an improved header and exhaust, a stock Raptor is boring and kinda sounds like crap, the machine truly is another animal once you install a full header and exhaust

Welcome to the dark side brother in my opinion for all around sport quad it don’t get no better then a raptor. Glad to see you liked it once you get more comfortable on it you will really like love it I know I love mine! Just as far as a fci intake and pc5 will open her up a lot then you will start really feeling the power and how it begins to Separate it’s self into a class of it’s own! Cant wait to see the build! I own a 2021 and they are blast to ride, however they are so slow in stock form lol. Everyone makes the 700 seem like its so fast when its definitely NOT that fast at all in stock form. Lots of torque but not much get up and go. Hoping the big three will change my mind, or i’ll have to trade it for something faster. 😂

Yep my raptor is almost stock an im pretty used to the power. My brothers raptor has the big 3 an the power is between the two is night an day its like going from normal hemi challenger to hellcat lol. All thoe people that have never ridden a raptor allways come back an say god dam that thing is scary fast lol.

They are saving the best for last .. to many bikes being released not enough testing time. Who knows what will break on these bikes . they built to last like the bikes from the early 2000s . We will see how long these new electric peace of shits last.

My 400EX picked up a 300 lb man I told him to be easy on the throttle and it picked him straight up

I upgraded from an Adly 450s hurricane to a 2022 Raptor 700R SE and it was the best decision I have made in a while. Even if it cost me 12 grand. Does anybody know where I can buy the tires that come with the raptor? I really like the profile, since its not super loud on asphalt while being grippy enough for offroading. I cant even find the model on the maxxis website.

I live in new england im torn between one of these or a polaris sportaman 850 i have powerlines and trails here to ride on but hownis the raptor is snow is it good? Update I ended up going with the 2023 sportsman 850 ultimate trail feel as if it will be the best considering amount of snow we get also my first quad so I'm very excited

Just depends on what kind of riding you do but the raptor is pretty fun!

Can anyone help me. Basically I did a dubframe swap and when I put everything back my taillight was not flush to the rear plastic and now it seems a bit loose but i can't figure out how I can put it flush like how it was before

Depends on the riding you like to do and what your experience is.

Those have always felt twitchy and a bit top heavy to me in stock trim.

Are you getting nerf bars with the heel guards? Just asking cuz it looks like the people you bought your raptor from didn’t give you the Special edition heel guards but some people take them off anyway to put a full heel guard nerf bar set.

Im gonna actually go in today to check the status because they told me they were expecting them March which is almost here. Crazy they were back ordered for that long.
