I bought a $24.99 Damascus Knife From Ebay I was Shocked With What I Received.
Today I Review a Damascus knife I bought from eBay. It Was "handmade, damascus, custom knife." I honestly wasn't ready for this knife knife and it definitely wasn't something I expected. I also had all sorts of problems with the review.😡
Some GOOD knives for under $24.99

The steel making up the Damascus came from pieces of a bus that drove off a cliff in India. 27 of the 437 passengers died. The Pakistani that built the knife obtained the scrap steel pieces via a barter for a quart of goat milk. He shaped it holding it between his toes while sitting in a dirt stall in 110 degree heat. His net profit was $1.00 for the finished knife.

What you have there is a $24 Damascus Safety Stabber with a Nice Sheath. As for the thick and thin scales, look at your hand when holding the knife. On one side, the meaty palm of your hand is touching the handle. On the other, the bony fingers maintain contact. It is up to you to decide which thickness scale works best. A custom choice. And you don't have to worry about cutting anything.

I'm going home to my custom home with hardwood floors ... laminated OSB, not hardwood, not custom, also ... not my home. My god I've been reduced to a doubting skeptic, I think ... Nah, I doubt that too. Is anything real anymore?

I remember back in 99', I ordered an arming sword from Museum Replicas that was made in India. When I went to bend the blade with my hands to test its flexibility, the blade stayed bent with only light amount of pressure applied to it.

It is mostly welded up in big sheets on rolling mills, it works just fine. The steel is not too bad, the heat treatment is laughable or not done at all. I heat treated one of these and was able get to rockwell at 58 So it can be turned into a usable knife

I bought a couple much bigger ones off ebay with some pocket change. One of them is quite good out of the box, is Rockwell 60ish and keeps an edge very well. And its quite pretty. The second one was like 420 prehard. so I removed the grips, and heat treated it properly (guessing at the type of steel(s). After gluing the grip panels back on.. and sharpining, it too turned out to be a decent knife. Rockwell 56ish, sharpened easily, held an edge quite well and is also pretty. (I do have a Rockwell hardness tester.. im a steel fabricator and machinist)
