To be fair, ETA does make good movements. The issue is that it's a $200 movement (retail price, as a replacement) in a $20K+ watch. You can get high quality ETA movements watches for well under $500. Almost all of Tissot is this - and for the price, they are OK. Not special, but they are often on steep discount around the holidays. My current dress watch is a Tissot that I need for my bartending gigs on the weekend, as part of my "uniform". $140 on sale and works great. For that price it's excellent. For $14K.. yeah, not buying that trash.

Hublot is a case company, they actually make good quality cases. The issue is, they use cheap movements and jack up the price. But the actual cases are good quality. Hublot's are way overpriced, have low resale value, etc, but they are quality made cases. They deserve the hate they get because of their cheap movements and overpriced marketing gimick. They are a case company pretending to be a watch brand. If they actual used high quality movements in those cases, they could fix their reputation
