Craig, I have a 2006 DB9 and love it. To make sure the transmission lasts, when your at a traffic jam, or very long light, pull both paddles in ward to put the car in neutral or just hit the neutral button on the dash. Doing this will help keep the transmission in good shape, I heard to replace it could be $15,000. I use the paddle shift most times in sport and there is just nothing better than the sound of this v12.

I'm curious - why does that help on DB9 with torque converter auto? I heard that it helps on Vanquish with automated clutch. I've got a DB9 as well, and you got me worried now lol. And wow 25K euros is ridiculous for a ZF 6 speed. Dealers are rip offs.

I can tell you are genuinely concerned, and not just for your business because you could raise prices and survive; but for a large part of your customer base and what this means for them. This video really shows how real of a person you are. Personally, I appreciate that immensely.

I have a good friend with a DB9. Whenever he takes it into maintenance, I send him an ad for a good used Toyota Corolla I find on the internet. That's about the cost of the repair. He could have 3 or 4 nice Toyotas by now. That being said, the DB9 is a fabulous car. Money isn't an issue for him. A car like that should only be bought with money you can afford to burn.

In our market and local auctions dealers also lock the doors to cars that are exceptionally clean and mechanically sound. They also steal keys or pull fuses so they look like a bad buy. I've ran into a lot of the same in some videos on my channel, It really is a dice roll to buy a car you can't even sit in!

As a person who live in the Netherlands (NL) every time I hear somebody who lives in America complain about the prices of buying, owning and driving a car, I can't help but chuckle a bit. You people don't know how good you have it. Please allow me to make some comparisons, based on a Corvette C8.R 3LT Z51 Performance Carbon Magnetic Ride Lift MY22. Where I live, you pay a form of import tax on the car itself (that Corvette in NL costs $325K, compared to about $75K in the US). There's also a thing called road tax in NL (that's $80 per month for the Corvette). Mandatory Insurance for this car, which only covers damage to the other party in case of an accident ($100 per month) Then there is the price for the gasoline ($8,50 per gallon). It's obvious we don't get to see a lot of Corvette's here in NL, sadly.

Hey Craig as a body tech my honest opinion of the new Jeeps (07-22) is that they aren’t made to do what people buy a wrangler to do. Also they have the weakest frames and almost every 07-22 wrangler I’ve had come in for what looks like a simple front bumper replace job has had a diamond frame… a brand new frame for any of these wranglers only costs $800 from the factory, that alone should tell you how cheap and weak these frames are.

  • @lesterparker1594

The dealer brought it to the auction because there are very few people in the world looking to buy a used one. If you just want it to enjoy for a while, more power to you. Starting a dealership RIGHT NOW is the worst idea for anyone. Prices are too high. He doesn't mention that you need very good connections for inventory, otherwise you will have very light inventory, or will all be very overpriced, then you will lose thousands FAST..If you purchase newer inventory and are just making $ on the back and pray for trades that may be your only hope right now. You cannot survive , esp now just buying cars from the auction unless are newer that trades come from. You saw clearly what costs are right now. You can't make profit off 85% of what is in the auction right now. The rest are expensive cars that go at about the right # if your lucky, but are usually very rarely good examples if them otherwise they would be kept ot wholesaled to another place, hence most arent interested for some reason or another.. But you need the capital or the credit to buy those. That takes time. And other cars have issues that IF you know how to fix yourself you may be ok, and have extremely low overhead. If you live in a congested area, you have SO much competition it's insane. Don't be fooled. This can be a very sexy business with some of the cars we get to have and enjoy if you have the $ for them, even w the exotics (the ones that are over 75k even 15 yrs old, and start to bottom, or even go up in value. Such as porsche, ferrari, Lamborghini etc. Older collectables ) you are dealing w a very small unique clientele. But this is a TOUGH, cut throat business that's filled with TONS of scumbags that will try to screw you in anyway possible. Just BEWARE.

Used Astons is like half price in the US compared to Sweden... 🥺 thats just because people are scared of the complexity and price of maintaining them at the dealers... it's just like with the Bentleys... they who have the knowledge to service and repair them diy can have an amazing car at a real good price... have always loved the Astons... 🥰😍🤩

Gas prices are insane in the US? Try double that and you have the price in the EU 😆

Same boat. Have a 2013 Acura w 145 on it. I’m just looking and for $12k you get the same thing I don’t understand it? My car is nicer than what they’re asking 12 k for! I figured my car was 3500
