Good job mate, This is the exact spec patrol I want, under 1993 because the TD42 got a engine down grade in 1993 in august and that's why there are two different rocker covers silver and black, silver TD42 for the win.

+1 For injectors. Thats what i could hear from the video. Valve clearances would be good to do for the sake of it. The TB and TD have a habit of going out of spec on the clearances. I say this being a GQ owner. Super keen to see the build. We all know you bought a GQ because theyre cheaper than Toyotas. If youre QLD, Superior Engineering for suspension components. I say QLD because its easier to get Superior stuff engineered there. For OEM/reproduction parts Allfourx4 in Newcastle. Rod from Wholesale Auto can set you up with the trans (good move getting the auto, i have the RE4 and its a beast) Emuwing for cargo area access. Tip, look under the rear seats, youll fit a slimline battery, one of the panel style ones, and 12v system under there. Being a TD auto, is it a 24v model? The only auto TD ive seen that werent converted are imports and have a 24v main system.

Cool good to see you back on your own channel. I was thiking injectors as the sound seams to be high up in the engine. Although I'm not there in person and I'm in no way a diesel mechanic or any mechanic for that matter.

Sounds like a top end rebuild would be a good idea

I think auto TD was a Japan only thing, na TD auto would be such a slug but get some boost and 4.3s/4.6s into it and shel be right. 85% reductions and 2inch 35s is how my Gu is setup and works good.
