I found this like new in box Tokina 400mm Prime lens and I only paid $12.50 for it at a flee market. I test it out on my A7Rii and the results are very stunning. This is a review of the Tokina 400mm f5.6 Prime lens that has a Nikon mount that I adapted to my Sony E-mount camera. This lens was originally an auto focus lens but with the manual adapter you have to manually focus it and adjust the aperture manually.

Will it autofocus on any nikon body? And what kind of flee market you got it from?

I can’t remember the original Nikon mount it’s for but it should auto focus on that mount. I think I could buy a digital adapter for it and it would function as well. My town has a fleet market garage sale place that opens for only 1 week or weekend at a time maybe twice a year. It’s a charity grab for meals on wheels. They collect or have estate sales donated to them. They sort and sell everything. I just got an old Sony Betamax movie camera that is tethered to a large recording deck for $20 bucks this year. Going to make a video on it eventually.
Image quality rate 0 to 5?

If you get a good stable Image with it I would give it a 3. It’s definitely not the 100-400GM lens but a great compositional lens for 400mm. I would use it to create art more then a scene.
