My friends are selling their collection to help fund a trip for them and their kid to Japan. They hit me up to see if I was interested. I told them I didn't need a list or anything, but I'd take all of their cartridge video games, shoot me a price and we'll go from there. They offered, I accepted, and here's what I got. Some hidden gems are BOUND to be in here!

For that price, they could've at least included some of the games in the case and cleaned the games too. A lot of the Genesis games were dirty.

John Riggs is awesome! The person that sold this lot of games is not - $1200 for this lot, should be ashamed of selling this to a friend - I was rooting for at least one $300 game!

I'm a huge nostalgia nerd for PS2 games, I actually own about 12 to 13% of the entire library of North American releases, according to various game collector websites. So, I would have asked for anything Sony. Actually, knowing me, I probably would have said "I'll take the lot." I just love owning games, and anything I get duplicates on, I would sell undervalued against sites like Mercari and Ebay, because I know the value of fast return without an established store front, so I would rather get something out quickly than sell 3 years down the line for that extra $20.

A little trivia about Mega Man 6. Nintendo held a contest to have readers of their magazine, Nintendo Power, submit their ideas and artwork for two of the bosses. The two contest winners not only had their bosses in the game, I forget which two, but they were given screen credit. For those who have played Mega Man 2 through 6, during the ending it shows the name and the pic of the boss and the name of the person who was behind its creation. The names of the winners were written by their winning submissions.

The TMNT story is NOT boring. I know I've gone through similar situations and never got the game back and I'm sure there are plenty of others out there as well. I never got my Chrono Trigger on SNES back from a childhood friend who just started to make up excuses for why he couldn't hang out with me, soccer practice, mom said no etc. When we would hang out every other weekend for years. I think I ended up with Cool Spot for Chrono Trigger, pretty bad trade financially but what 5th grader thinks of value?

I do believe there's one Strike game on N64 (maybe Urban Strike? not entirely sure), and two of them on PS1; I think they're Soviet Strike, and Nuclear Strike. I think I did play Soviet Strike on PS1 (just one rental, if I recall). I don't think a single one of those games were bad at all.

The Great Battle games tend to be fun little action platformers, and generally stand a bit above the typical SD Gundam shovelware. The Great Battle V even has Wild Guns style gallery shooter stages!

If you've ever played the second level of Rad Racer on the NES, where you drive through San Francisco at night, then you've played a slightly better version of Atari's Night Driver.

Love it, have you been to any of the Anorher Castle stores in the area? I'm from WA and love those stores.

I also love the Metal Gear series. Snakes Revenge isn't canon, but I have completed it. The Kojima release is the proper sequel, and the far better of the 2.

Really wish Nintendo would do more remasters/remakes of the classic Zelda games; especially the top down ones. I wouldn't mind a remake version of Link To the Past, Oracle of Ages & Seasons, Minish Cap ... and a remaster for Twilight Princess, etc on the Switch I still find it odd that Capcom didn't include Mega Man & Bass with the Legacy Collection.

I remember trading games back in the day. After I got shafted a few times, I became militant that I wouldn’t loan out ANY games, no matter how good the friend, no matter how much collateral they put up. I was just over it, haha.
