I know you liked the last dress, but honestly, the red dress with the big bow is by far, the most flattering. No bumps or bulges and the red really looked great with your complexion.

After watching the video back, I agree with you. I am going to see if I can remake it. The fabric was really bad- like a very thin foam, really odd. I think that if I went to a formal event and anyone hugged me, it would be strange. I am thinking of taking it apart and remaking it from a bridal satin or similar fabric.

Great idea to take apart the red and re create it. A taffeta that would hold its bow shape? Or bridal satin as you said. You may have to put stiffener in the bow, maybe.

My second fave was the teal and then your favorite navy dress at the end. The navy dress is probably the most versatile. I agree with the OP as much as you loved the pink dress you should keep it. It wasn't too young for you and the Barbie Movie is out, so this year is the year for that dress!!

How fun was this!!! Your optimistic personality is just beautiful!! I just wanted to say as a seamstress who specializes on alterations of all formal wear, I could literally "eyeball pin" each of these dresses on you and you would be surprised how many of them would have actually "made the cut"! If you really feel it and love it and have an amazing seamstress to rely on, don't be afraid to reach out to them before sending them back!

the YT sewing and try-on communities need to do some collabs on making alterations to off the rack clothing. especially in the plus-size world, where you're usually just happy to find stuff that fits the assorted 'problem areas'. a few quick nips-and-tucks would have made some of those dresses definite keepers. i've been sewing since i was a kid, and i have saved many friends from having to return clothing they really loved by whipping out my needle and thread. (seriously folks, find a friend who sews. we LOVE fixing fit problems.)

My mum was a seamstress taught in the 1940s ragtrade and she could do amazing things with just a few tucks and pins. I agree with Vicki... I am so tired of plus sized clothes being a piece of material with three holes in it and a zip up the back. I wish I had my mums skills but I suck at machine sewing.

Wish the red bow dress was a different fabric because it was my fave. The last dress is a 9.5 out of 10! Love it.

I love the last navy one for its versatility and also for how flattering it is on your figure. But to be honest, the red one with the bow was really really flattering. I would have loved it even more in black! I was a Navy officer's wife for 30 years and had to attend many formals (a chaplain's wife no less and we did multiple balls every year just because he had to do the invocation and benedictions!). So I understand your search for formal wear. It's difficult to understand the fabric feel of the red dress on video, but it was really on point for a Marine Corp Ball or a Navy Ball!

The red dress is gorgeous! The green floral dress looks great too! The royal blue and pink are phenomenal!

I'm in the UK and you've just popped up in my recommendations. I love your energy and totally agree the last dress looked so lovely on you. It looks more expensive than it is and I think you will wear it for lots of occasions. I've subscribed !

I agree with some of the posters below who said they liked the red bow dress best. The fabric was probably chosen because the dress style needed a little firmer structure than "normal" fabric. Also, that navy dress at the end was a winner. I would buy that one to keep in my closet as a go-to for a special night out. Girl, this made me so happy for you and yet so sad at the same time, because you look SO amazing in so many of the dresses that you were saying looked awful and I would tell you !! That red dress was amazing. The hot pink one was amazing. Barbie is having a moment, and it’s definitely not too young for you at all. With the stretchy bodycon type dresses, they would be fine with some shapewear to stabilize the midsection. Dresses are not typically cut for our appleish shape bodies.

The red neoprene is also known as scuba -- because it is the type of fabric wetsuits are made of. Fashion designers started using it for the sculptural quality it would give designs. I have a skirt that is made of a black lighter weight scuba, and here in Texas I couldn't imagine an entire dress made of it, even if it was sleeveless. But, it DOES make for a stunning dress! Glad I found you on my recommended feed!

Unpopular comment but I love the black dress the best. Second would be the red bow. I'm at least a 5x myself (based on this size chart). Personally for myself I'm not comfortable with body con dresses but I absolutely applaud those who can do it. Go for the one you like best that you are the most comfortable in because that's the one you'll wear over and over. Thank you for this video. The black one was nice. It just needed a little alteration to keep the "off the shoulder" off the shoulders. The 5x's would have looked better in the 4x most likely, or they could have been altered.

The Pink Dress!!! Maybe not the company party but somewhere else you look gorgeous in that one!!!!! I also liked the “teal” even though it didn’t match the color of the pic. I just discovered you and can I just say as a 5'4 big girl myself, how nice it is to see someone like me so beautiful, and confident and smiling. It really gives me hope that I can be like that and you looked sooo pretty in all of them but especially the pink dress, I've never thought pink looked good on me, but you make me want to try it again. Honestly, thank you so much for doing this video. I am plus sized and every time I’m looking for clothes in my size all the models are basically just BBL gals. I don’t know what anything looks in my own shape and it’s so disappointing when it does arrive. 🎉❤

You look like the type of person who would absolutely look GORGEOUS in bright colors. So many of my dar/bright blue eyed blond friends can ROCK a neon colors. You have enough energy for it! LOVED THE BRIGHT RED! As soon as you pulled it out up to your face it was the right colors. Jus the wrong fit.

The black gown is gorgeous on you. The fabric is lovely, as is the fit. All of them have a beauty about them, and the black one is definitely the most versatile. The neckline is the best feature. If they had a long version it would be just as nice. Glad I stumbled upon your video!
