Renee! I'm sure you have done your homework after making this video, but you just bought a fortune in designer clothing. I spent most of my other career in the luxury retail world and know all those brands. The Lanvin piece alone will probably bring you a couple of thousand if sold through the proper venue. So the black dress with the side cut-outs is Lanvin? It only had the label with the issue 1 of 24 in it. There was another clothing piece in the box but not with a Lanvin tag. Guess I'll be getting a quick lesson in fashion!

PLEASE DO NOT SELL ANYTHING UNTIL YOU'VE RESEARCHED THOROUGHLY! Dear Renée, the last mannequin could be worth a lot. Do not sell it to a boutique looking for something to put in their window. You might have spent more for these pallets but they will be extremely profitable, I am certain. As a matter of fact, I'm flabbergasted! Even the Lafuma sleeping bag is interesting (about 90 $US). Have fun!

I agree. One of the first vintage slips looks like a 1940s slip I have. Research all that very well before you do anything with any of that!! Great choices!

You might need to sage everything if you bought it from that person.

I just want to say as the wife of a 20 year Navy veteran I thank whoever the military gear belonged to and I pray he/ she came back home safely! It really touched me seeing that box of military gear and it makes me stop and think about the person who used the gear and hopefully he/ she just stowed the stuff and forgot about it. God bless our military members and our police officers who put their lives on the line every day.

That last mannequin you pulled out is actually a dress form. The collapsible shoulders are for getting tight dresses, etc. over the top for fitting. It looked like you don’t have the stand that should go with it but you could probably buy one. Dress forms go for $300-$800 used, depending on the brand. That one looked really clean which is a big plus. What a fantastic haul! So much fun to watch. Really looking forward to your upcoming videos.

Wow! My dear you hit the storage jackpot. Like the other posters said, do researching, this isn't your daddys flea market stuff. That alpaca rug that size is around $ 249. I agree with the dress form, its high end, $700-900. Who knows about the designer patterns & client list, could be endless depending on who it is. Can't wait for part 2!

Great score! For sure, do your research, especially on the dressmaker things. Some aspiring designer might like the packages of patterns and what looks like the muslin mock ups of the patterns. That last dress form is fabulous! FYI, the vintage "slip" is actually a nightgown. Slips have adjustable straps, real vintage, prior to about 1970, have metal slides. Your nightgown looks to be 40's or earlier. Look for a label on the inside, side bodice, or side seam of the skirt. Depending on condition, possibly good money. And yes, do due diligence on the lanvin dress, that could pay off your teeth! Lol

Lanvin and La Perla. Period. Full stop. Wow. Yes, it will take extra time to research but it will be worth it and you deserve every penny!

No risk, no fun, and this time you got a lot of fun with your storage pallets. Lanvin is a high end brand which is quite near to haute couture. So, welcome to the designer fabric business ! 😉 Same with the military gear which is always in high demand. It would have been nice to find some weapons inside this box like knives or even a gun. 😂Just joking, ten bucks is nothing for a box like this. The day I find a firearm in a storage unit will be an interesting day! (I actually hope that doesn't happen as it can turn out to be quite an ordeal.) Designer fabric business and here I am buying my clothes when they go on sale or at the thrift! I'm trying to recall what might be the most expensive article of clothing I own and even that was most likely around $100, which is no designer price haha. Hope that you enjoy the next video from these pallets, it's even better than this one!

When my hair was short, I would hear every so often how I looked a bit like Julie Andrews as Mary Poppins. I'll consider that a compliment any day! Hopefully I'll be able to come across another great pallet or unit in the future!

I watched part 2 yesterday and it peaked my interest. Having started part 1 now I'm almost convinced this woman worked for either Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus, depending on where you're located. Quite a few of the brands I recognize from my years at Nordstrom. She may have been a buyer for a company. Great scores, I hope you keep some of those treasures. 🤞💗

Rene had her money back in the first box - the first two boxes in the box. Lanvin is $tupid money, and La Perla lingerie is crazy money too.

Dang, Renee. I guess you have to spend to make - but your ratio of additional spend to additional earning is exponentially in your favor (especially based on the values that other, knowledgeable commenters are citing)! You are going to be "Ms. Got Rocks," as my grandmother used to say (rich - she liked diamonds so I guess the phrase came from that). Watching you unbox high fashion in the hunting cap was amusing. The military box was great. I'm not sure about what you are and aren't allowed to sell but I would think there are several hundred dollars in that box alone. So happy that you found this and really enjoyed watching your enthusiasm and excitement when opening these. Also, I think I'm right that these storage unit videos are some of the most highly viewed in your oeuvre - so hopefully the video will make you a nice profit as well. It felt great to spend a little bit more money and come away with such great items. I've seen others spend thousands at a storage auction and I just think about how long it takes to just break even. Now will I get lucky like this again? I would love to, but I'm very happy & grateful for what I found in these pallets. It only got better; you'll have to wait for the next video! In regard to the military, I have to do a bit more research as I know from past experience that you are not allowed to sell some military-issued items online. I was surprised I got that for only $10 because it was easy enough to see that it was military. Perhaps others thought since it was WWII or earlier uniforms, it wasn't worth the $10. Regardless, so glad I was able to purchase what I did & it makes up for all of those "bad" units I bought in the past!

Those are dress forms. My late mother was a seamstress. You have a lot of fashion-industry materials and ephemera. Those forms alone are worth a bit of cash. You would probably do well to solicit those to a NYC market, the fashion district, fashion schools and custom dress makers. Very interesting finds. Well done!

Congrats on the good boxes. The bullet proof vest has passed it's shelf life, but someone will still probably want it. I think you hit it out of the park on this one!

Well, the designer cloths and mannequins are high end pieces. With a couple of phone calls to some high end resell boutiques you will get some more information as to which direction to go with those. That is some N.Y city high end stuff. And age does not matter. The same with patterns. Call several people and inquire. You Hit a Jackpot!!!

These higher-end garments need to be handled carefully. Cloth gloves to prevent snags and runs, garment bags to keep dust and dirt off. They will do really well in an online auction, congrats!

I think there ended up being 3 Balik pieces. Many listed online, but it seems like the color of the maker's mark indicates the age, with the older being more valuable. I have a lot to learn!

The second mannaquin is part of a dress form. Without the arms and base, she's pretty much a decorative piece. Great scores - nice to see you so excited and I'm excited for you.
