Biggest gripe I have with the eBay authentication is that it adds like a week and a half to most of my shipping times. Shoes can sit at the third party hub for over 5 days before they get authenticated. What that tells me is that this hub has a backlog, and if they have a backlog, then they'll be under pressure to move quickly and get shoes out the door. That will lead to shoes that may or may not be authentic being given the seal of approval, because the employees will be in a rush to get shoes checked. They likely need to increase their staff while maintaining a high level of training so that shoes are still carefully checked. Hopefully just some growing pains, but certainly not a perfect system yet.

Completely agree. eBay has a very long way to go before they reach the service level of GOAT. Their selling process is extremely simple and hassle free. Just wish they would lower that seller fee.

Great video. As a shoe seller on eBay, I also think that this is a great service eBay is providing for it's buyers and sellers. I have not had any issues with sneaker authentications and all transactions went smoothly.

I’m glad you had a good experience. I tried it and eBay lost my shoes in the authentication hub. They gave a full refund which was nice but I would have much rather had the shoes-especially for the price.

The eBay authentication process has been both fast, it adds a few days to my shipments but nothing I can’t live with, and reliable for my purchases recently, that and here in the UK EBay is also partnered up with nectar, which gives you points on each purchase from various shops,cafes, services etc that you can accumulate and then turn into discount vouchers, so it’s actually become my primary place for purchasing new sneaker resells should I unfortunately miss out on drops.

I’ve bought 4 shoes from them and all great transactions. My issue is I’ve sold 1 shoe and it was a nightmare. Even though they were authenticated by sneakercon, the buyer disputed the charge through PayPal that it was “different” than the posting. Paypal automatically sided with the buyer and opened a case and and after two weeks of dealing with back and forth crap, then ended up siding with me because they confirmed it was verified by their authentication service. No shit... they should automatically deny that crap or side with the seller if it was authenticated. I basically had to take the burden of proving my side.

Love that they they’re doing this now. HATE it takes so long. Kicks have been sitting at the authentication hub for 5 days now.

Bought some sneakers from Ebay and a completely different pair showed up in the wrong size with the authentication tag. How does this happen?

Thanks for this. I hate how StockX is gauging sellers and buyers with additional fees, shipping plus the tax on top of that total. I also got sent fake shoes twice already. If I didn't have an original pair on hand to send them comparison pictures then they wouldn't have believed me.

What do you think about the new paypal alternative option on ebay?

My record so far has been 50/50 with the service. Bought some random SBs that don’t have bootlegs and those came all perfect. But then I ordered some Neutral Greys 1s and they ended up throwing out the wrapping for each shoe and one of the paper inserts 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@theblakes3878 I sold a pair of shoes on March 24, that have been out for delivery waiting for the EBay authenticator to pick up since March 26. No activity in over a week. I purchased 2 pairs of shoes and have had them authenticated and delivered to me since then. Process is definitely flawed.

Shoes arrived with the individual wrapping papers missing, and without one of the shoe inserts. Wish there was an option on the feedback to rate your experience with Sneakercon’s “Authentication” service 💀

Im kind of confident I got FUCKED on a pair of VNDS Jordan 4 Glow greens, I don't resale shoes for a hustle but I bought a $99 month 5 shoes authentication plan from entrupy figuring it would save me the $225 of the $325 if the shoes were fake(suspected when the netting was off center and there was what's looked like a glow green paint smear bleeding into the black part of the bottom of the soles . Looked all wrong made it through ebay authentication and I shipped them to entrupy 2 days ago, will update

eBays authentication takes forever. It’s a major drawback of selling/buying on eBay rather than GOAT.

@@twenty__five__52 I’ve seen the same problem. my last pair of shoes I sold were there for over a week before they were authenticated. They have a long way to go for sure. Comparatively I sold a pair to GOAT on March 29, shipped the next day, they arrived to GOAT in 2 days and were authenticated that same day. My revenue was available for cash out on the 31st (within 3 days of the sale). Meanwhile I’m still waiting on money from my March 11th sale on eBay because of their poor authentication process.

@Rob S that would be true in theory, but the wait is actually just because of the amount of sneakers they have received to authenticate and the queue it creates. eBay sent emails to buyers and sellers recently explaining the wait times had to do with high demand for sneakers being sent through the authentication system.

My package is supposed to be here tomorrow but they haven’t authenticated it or given me a new tracking number. Should I be worried?

I had the same problem. My estimate time of arrival was on April 2nd. I just received my shoes today. So I would just wait another week, you should get it by then.

I have seen adds for this with really bad fakes said to be authentice 🤣

The most comfortable shoes ever is addias trains cloud foam technology.i tried addias ultra didnt like it or nike omg u feel walking on stones puma nrgy was too comfortable feel non balance because they put memoriy foam with addias boost technology but addias trians cloud foam was most comfortable shoes ever for long walk distance.

Too bad we don’t have this in Germany yet.

eBay is funny with authentication process. I feel like employees steal sneakers. I have had a pair "lost." Wasn't the first time I have seen it either.

You’re not lying!!!! Bro I ordered the 27th and still my shoes haven’t fucking shipped to me I’m pissed. They went to an authenticator in NY and I’m all the way in Cali. And still stuck! These so called authentication experts are STEALING SHOES and marking them as “lost” to eBay smh!

Need to do something more challenging for ebay to authenticate like a Travis scott 1. So many fakes out there.

ebay's Authenticity Guarantee may be good but their global shipping system is so bad. Hope that get a fix soon

scammers be like NO WTF someone change this.

This service can never be 100% legit I ordered my dad some Jordan 4s for 350 folllars and they looked brand new they passed eBay authenticity service and out of nowhere not just one but on both shoes the soles fell off of the shoes of anyone can explain this I would happily use eBay again but otherwise stock s is where I’m going

Folks can still sell fakes on eBay if they want to, just gotta mark them as a used shoes bc they only legit check DS shoes. Also I bought a pair on eBay and I did not get one of those fancy boxes. So that must be a new thing, or they’re treating you better bc they know who you are. Idk if that’s a thing or not, but seems like you tubers are always treated better than the experiences I have
