Nobody seems to understand the real value IS newly minted rolls. I've been selling coins for a bit and good money is to be made 1. Rolls can be sold individually for 2-3X face leaving profit margins around $3-6 per roll giving you $150 in profit minimum. 2. A highly recommend option is to OPEN the rolls and look for mint errors, you can find hundreds of repeating errors, progression errors,or multi stages. Trust me when I say you could literally be the person to discover a coin that writes coin history* *Rare coins are rare but I do I've a recent example 2021 Cent K7-K3 sold as high as $900 and seller had found 30-40. Do the math ;)

You should call the local armored car company. I was a branch manager at one in 2016-2020 and I could have helped you out. They might still do it. We held the coin vault for many large banks and would be able to tell before shipping it to the bank if they were old or new.
A while ago I went to my bank and bought them about out of half dollar rolls. Unfortunately I did not have a good luck. I found no silver. I did find a bunch of bicentennial ones which do not have any extra value, but it is still nice to have a few in my collection.

If your president and his crew have their way, there will be no more cash or coin in the very near future. They want to switch over to digital currency only, which will mean your money, your spending, and your income will be tracked and anything the govt decides you owe can be directly withdrawn. It'll also be tied to your credit rating, loans, child support, etc.and will be controlled by the government, making it possible to implement things like social credit systems like they have in China...meaning the government can cut off your access to credit, certain types of purchases, limit ability to travel, control discretionary spending, or limit it until obligations are paid, and deny your ability to purchase a home or car, etc. And they can control your access to your own money and what you spend it on based on behavior and political leanings, participating in unpopular speech or protests, etc.

@@TheAnnoyingBoss that makes zero sense dude. They will just be worth MORE money. That's not taking anything away from the value they'll already have. 1 quarter selling for $20, times the 100 rolls you have is 80k. 1 quarter selling for $20 times one roll is still $800. To have started with 25 cents? Sounds like a gold mine to me.
Same happened with us in 2021. 4 straight boxes of 2021-D halves.
They need to make sure people don't have any money that has any actual value that cannot let us have anything that's worth anything gotta make sure that monopoly money is as good and worthless as possible. They started pulling all the silver coins out of circulation some time ago. I've got a roll of silver dollars my grandmother gave me for Christmas about 30 years ago. And to be honest the only reason I've had it this long is because it was a gift from her so it has sentimental value but if it wasn't a gift from my late grandmother I probably would have just bought the dumbest stuff like McDonald's with it. Silver coins weren't pulled out of circulation, they are hoarded by collectors.
My wife is a banker and runs into this all the time. She says the real trick is to buy the bags of coins people bring to the bank. The tellers run the coin through a counter and bag them up to eventually be sent to the feds. Basically, make friends with the bank employees.
Most of the time now, the armored trucking company that supplies coins and paper monies, usually order new. New is desired more for most customers. And fyi if you didn't know, most banks don't have their own main vault that supplies their branches any more. Companies like Brinks have taken over supply of monies to most banks.

I am a coin collector. I collect circulating US coins. I don't have any half dollars in my collection for this very reason. They don't circulate. I do have a few, but only a handful. I was showing my collection to some young people, and they were unaware that the US made a half dollar.
Thanks for watching everyone! This comment will answer the majority of questions / comments being left here... hope it help! 1) I am looking for circulated half dollars, and no I don't need to go to smaller banks and/or order smaller amounts. For years I was getting 10 boxes a week for live streams and they were always all circulated. I also use a number of different banks for picking them up as well as dumping them so I try and minimize getting the same coins all the time. 2) Yes... there are still Silver half dollars out there. We aren't looking for ones that have been there for years, those are long gone. Most Silver half dollars ended up in circulation recently when someone that doesn't know any better takes a bunch of change they had laying around, or were left when a loved one passed to a bank and deposits them. Of course we'd love to let them know not to do that, but it happens. 3) This isn't an exact exchange dollar for dollar... because of the large amount of half dollars I used to get, the banks did start imposing fees. Local banks don't get to order coins for free. Generally the coins they order are written off as a business expense and is just considered part of doing business. But when accounting sees a massive increase in coin ordering, they start asking questions, and the fees happen. 4) While I USED to search for half dollars to make money, I actually don't do that anymore. Whenever I do a CRH live stream, they are 100% free fun streams and the finds are given away to people in the chat during the live stream. Hopefully I start getting circulated halves again so we can get back to that, so don't forget to SUBSCRIBE! YOU ROCK! --Seeker

You can ask the bank to order any coins and give them a year range that you want. My bank does their damndest to get the year range I requested from them. They have only not been able to get the range of dates I asked for twice and that was within a 2yr span
Seeker, I watch all your videos, I believe. I think you do a good job with content and presentation. I really appreciate that you don't spend excessive time pushing subscription because most people watching you tube videos already know about subscribing - not all of them. I watched for a long time before subscribing to any so I know there are always people who haven't got the hang of it yet. Most importantly I can tell you appreciate my time because you are efficient with what you have to say. It's got to be challenging to get these videos ready. Thanks for having a great channel.
I have never ordered from a bank before but that is exactly what I would think you would get.
😅 55 years of people eyeballing it then the advancement of videos information really takes its toll on collecting silver in the wild

Yea, it's been rough.
I have been having the same problems… lots of new everything
At least you can double your money selling them by the roll on eBay. It does suck though when you expected circulated rolls to hunt!
You realize the more you do it the less likely you're going to get the old ones because every time you take some out there's less to get.

That's not quite accurate. Most of the Silver Coins I find have likely been in circulation for less than a year. Usually they're deposited at a bank from someone that doesn't know they're worth more than face value.
Hunting for rare money is the weirdest thing.
Just picked up a box from the bank also and there are sooo many 2022s mixed in, probably 1/6 are 2022s
I didn’t even remember we had half dollars.
The banks catching on that people just keep reselling their stuff for easy profit rather than finding a legitimate job that helps society

Catching on? I'm 100% honest with my bank about why I buy the coins... there's nothing to catch onto. They even know about my KZread channel. Besides that, it actually has nothing to do with the banks. The U.S. Mint started producing half dollars for circulation again during the "coin shortage". As a result we're seeing brand new half dollars enter the system, which hasn't happened since 2001. There's some knowledge for ya. :)
Quarters are the same. In the last $1000 I searched I found 1 silver quarter.
The name of the game is to keep ongoing and not give up. you're not gonna find anything with a defeatous attitude. the very next box you get could be loaded with silver.
If I ever bought $1000 in halves, this is what would happen to me.
I found more silver in my loose change!
Whenever I’m in this situation I just think the only thing lost is time, since you can exchange them straight back.

That and I pay $2 per box to pick them up, and 1% to return them.... so I also lost $14.

If you have a local casino, they'll change it all out dollar for dollar for you. I take my collected change to the casino (my job) instead of a CoinStar machine cuz the casino gives 100%
