As a nets fan, that rebuild idea really isn’t a bad one and one we should consider pivoting to. If we traded mikal, I would trade with the rockets to get our picks back. I would add another player to mikal to go after Jabari smith and amen Thompson with like 2 picks. I don’t know if it would turn out but it’s something I would definitely take since we need a pg and a good pf. If anything we could get jalen green and get our picks back too. Those suns picks we have may have big changing potential for our future the way it’s going for the suns rn. Get those picks back. Move guys like cam Joshson, dinwiddie, Royce, see what you can get for dfs. Resign clax, and give Dayron and Thomas extensions. Developing jalen Wilson, clowney and whitehead. Resign Trenton watford,Lonnie walker and harry giles to add to our young core. Ben Simmons contract ends in 2025 which will be great for us, we get rid of a lot of contracts and add space for 2 max spots. We develop our young players which is something we are pretty solid at. Improve the coaching and get rid of jacque Vaughn. Could have something amazing not too far awayZ

I think the nets need to think of is if they wanna compete for the playoffs or truly rebuild and build thru the draft. I think they should trade Ben Simmons and trade for a star guard. Like Donavan Mitchell. A trio of Donavan Mitchell, Mikael bridges & Cam Johnson would be great for the next 10 years.

The only problem with the Mikal trade to the Knicks as much as everyone wants it to happen is that the two teams probably won’t let it happen. Nets and Knicks don’t make trades with each other. Last trade they made with each other was in 1982. And if they do, nets would probably try to fleece the Knicks crazily knowing they tryna pair the nova boys 😭

Being a nets fan, seeing Mikal get traded to the Knicks isn’t too fun. If he were to get traded, I’d personally want to trade him to the rockets for some of the picks back and a young player. The rockets know that the nets will do whatever they can to compete as long as they don’t own their own picks, so getting a guy like mikal from the nets in return for picks that won’t be as valuable if the nets are competing, is a win win for both teams imo

Cam is there best player they need to build around him. I’d trade Spencer or Ben 10 asap don’t need them both probably keep Ben10 for his defense and you can hide his awful office because cam is so amazing at it. Lol. Trade Smith maybe back to Dallas lol. & Royce to team that need a SF. Cam J & MB I’d keep for now but they are 2nd & 3rd options at best. To much overlap with Royce, Smith, Ben, & a few others. Spencer to the heat is a good idea. DSJ ( who’s also better then Hayes lol) can start time Ben can play again
