I've watched several other people up to episode 5 before starting on Joel's story, and everything here is absolute gold. "Should I hide that enchantment table? Nah." "How funny would it be if Scar was also the boogey?" "I'm not sure how the trap will work, but we'll give it a go." Like, if this was in a book, I'd say the writer was really bad at it, because no way all this can happen in real life. And yet, here we are. I'm in tears. I have no idea how Joel managed to set up so much unintentional foreshadowing for so much failure. It really explains his slightly psychotic tone in later episodes when more traps fail to cause harm. This is great, and I'm actually glad I opted to watch it in this order.

He should have pulled the lever immediately after reaching it but I guess the fates just wouldn't have Lizzie die by his hand. xD She was so low from the punches that she died literally immediately after Joel stopped chasing her. She was probably just another punch or two away from dying. xD

I like how Joel and Scar seem to simultaneously decide that "all friendships and allies are off" when your the Boogeyman means "the promise we just made to tell each other doesn't count and it's okay to try to kill each other...but that doesn't mean that our alliance won't continue past those betrayals"

well, if you think back... in 3rd life, he mostly kept himself out of the commotion going around him until other people brought him into it (constantly being approached by red lives like scar and ren, etho inviting him to attack bdub's crastle with a 'missile') joel may not be the best at being the receiving end of a confrontation

This was a comedy of errors. So happy to have all sides of this. Last Life is an amazing concept. Grian is a mad content creatong genius for bringing you all together this way.

Joel: spends an entire episode unsuccessfully killing people and dying twice. Also Joel: starts a murder business telling people he can kill people they can’t.

Make a trap with a button. In Hermitcraft season 7, Grian confessed to an uncontrollable impulse to press buttons. Also, make a secondary trap, b/c players tend to find the first one, disarm it, and gain a false sense of security. Make a primary trap on top of an observer that activates the second trap once they disable the first.

I need a revival/redemption arc ASAP. Like, being a ragtag bountyhunter and striking fear into the hearts of those who've mocked and laughed at you. you will be the one laughing then >:3 OR alternatively if you wanna go the less violent and risky path, you could befriend people, make allies, and clear your name, taking back your mountain AND enchanting table to create peace

Joel, get your dog army back! If you were to punch someone, they'd go after them, and if you get some potions, you could splash them with strength and invisibility, and cause so much chaos! That's my suggestion.

If their is powdered snow, you could try one of those quick sand sort of traps! Also, in Empires, Fwip set this trap where when you ran on a piece of redstone it activated a bunch of TNT, so you could try that trap too!

I think it's sweet that Joel saved Lizzie's stuff. After he attempted murder on her.

Here’s a trap idea for Scott and Pearl if they leave their base for long enough; release the skeletons in their spawned farm (of course, you’d need a way out since you could die, but something easy enough to block up)

I feel so bad for Joel, being the first Red. Let's just hope this series last longer for Joel.

I found it sweet too on how he hesitated to kill her and then let her go in the end.

*RIP* 3 lives He could haven't been caught if he didn't pushed Scar, but I know it's hard to find someone to push there when you're already been suspected, but instead he could've have been killed Mumbo instead and get cured, but he will still die eventually since they're in an alliance. In Scott & Pearl fight he could have placed lava in their side (20:55) and after killing someone, then just find an escape route. . . but I also know it's hard to think when you're on _panik_ mode. The Lizzie one was just hard, she did a great jump on that trap. Even it was already planned. .he didn't expect to just push someone in there. Also the trap can be countered if they placed the water by clicking the wall.

Dang,I actually feel bad for Joel.

After Lizzie now we're gonna see joels pov and I'm living for it.

Isn't it a coincidence that because Joel lost 4 lives, Lizzie gained 4? Coincidence? ...I think so

Perfectly balanced. As all things should be.

Looking forward to see what traps you come up with. TnT is always a classic. so is falling into a pit of lava. but in that case I support putting hoppers under so that you may retrieve their loot.

SPOILERS!!! The whole situation with Scar in the mine was HILARIOUS and so wholesome!!
