@@RyanLendt morning. It could be. But as soon as you started the breakdown, that’s what came to mind. Perhaps another video? Unless you’ve covered it already. Have a wonderful day. Started a new job now I can’t sleep enough in anticipation of missing my bus.
If you drop the low E to a D..you can do the keyboard vamp along with chords. Just saying. I play the song in my acoustic duo.adds a lot of bottom end and background.
Amazing version, i'll try it immediately

So why did you change fingers for the Em?
@AnimationByDylan
Жыл бұрын
You can (and maybe should) use fingers 3 and 4 for the "Em" chord, at least to be consistent. Whatever works for you. As your experience level increases, finger pre-positionings aren't quite as critical (but they do usually make life easier).

Dylan speaks wisely (hey buddy!) - I'm comfortable enough switching fingers that it's more of a pain in the butt for me to use ring and pinky for Em since that's not something I ever do

8/22/22. You’re a good dude and I like you... That being said, I don’t like what you did here because you DID NOT MENTION THE BEAUTIFUL SIMPLICITY OF THIS SONG! First of all, play it in standard tuning! The SIMPLE 2 chords to the first verse are played: X X 0 2 2 0 to X X 0 0 0 0. You resolve the MAIN verse to just playing the first 4 open strings: X X 0 0 0 0. The stuff you’re doing is interesting, but doesn’t sound as good as playing the simple version! The beauty of this song is how simple chords can sound so beautiful! And your video totally misses that point! Why did you change simple chords into harder chords that sound worse than the simple chords? Take care, Ryan.

what about the C that doesn't belong?
@mollymaggieandmemollymaggi5189
Жыл бұрын
@@RyanLendt 8/24/22. What “C” are you referring to? I heard the original recording is tuned sharp above standard tuning, which may sharpen the “B “ string up a half-step to an open “C” note, is that the “C” note you’re referring to?Who cares? It doesn’t improve the sound over just playing it in standard tuning. Just play the song in standard tuning , and play the 2-chord main verse as: X X 0 2 2 0 resolved to: X X 0 0 0 0. There is an acoustic guitar player playing along with Curt Smith and you see the guitarist playing what I’m telling you. Check it out for yourself on KZread “Curt Smith unplugged- Everybody Wants To Rule The World.” Take care, Ryan.
