    We could use these chords if were playing in key of C technically right

    If you want to play in C using these open D chords, then you would need to tune your guitar down a whole step. I played this in B at my church and used a capo on the 4th fret playing G shape chords. I have a video on how to do this if you are interested. Here is the link: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qKNnpJJtma7aoJc.html If you want to play in C using G shape chords then capo 5. You could also play using C shape chords. :)
