Pufferfish don't get more buoyant when they puff up in real life because they fill up with water, which has the same density as the water around them

Answer to 3:42 = When pufferfish inflate underwater in real life they swallow a bunch of water to make themselves puff up and water isn’t more buoyant that the water they just swallowed so no it wouldn’t work. However if you somehow filled a pufferfish with air while it was underwater it would probably not be able to keep that air in because of the pressure difference but if you ignore that it would work.
