This is a segmented speed run - it's a compilation of my one combo speed runs. I released the first video (Mall) for the #THPSLegendaryCombo contest. I won with a different entry. No complaints.
I think I'm the first to come up with this challenge. I like the One Combo Speed Run format because it demands a balance of creativity (coming up with an efficient and interesting line), personal style, and technical skill (it takes a fair amount of precision and balance management to make it through most levels).
I wanted to do something interesting in every level - I go through the helicopter in Hangar, I save the tape for the very end of the SF run, etc. That said, I hope you'll record a One Combo Speed Run next and blow mine out of the water.
Please share links to this video on KZread! I'd also love it if you wanted to do a reaction video or commentary track. I would hate it if you re-posted it on your gaming channel as your own without both permission and attribution.
Sorry no Superman by Goldfinger in this video. Didn’t want any copyright strikes.

@@4nhedonia In the main campaign you only get 2 minutes to get as much objectives as possible, in speed run, you get more time to try and get ALL objectives. Look at 10:12 in the video for example, in campaign the video would have ended there, but because it's speed run, it's counting UP not DOWN. Basically you've got more time to A. Try to get your best time, B. Most people can't do ALL objectives in most levels in 2 Minutes.

@@kodychesire It's not that. I had a feeling that No Bail was enabled too. I watched several parts at 0.25 speed where the animation of the board flipping or the grab did not end before the landing. Examples: at 2:02 the Casper Flip 360 animation to get the board the right way does not even finish half of the animation and at 12:28 the grab animation from the FS 540 does not finish before the grind starts. These animations must almost finish to transition, the ones in this run were not far enough along. Plus, there are a few times where he lands sideways in a way that would cause a bail not a sharp turn. No Bail was on (and possibly super stats) but it was still impressive.

@@andrewfreeland7084 No cheats, no mods, no "super stats". I hate when these accusations come in, but you have a good eye for noticing specific technical moments so I will try to explain what's going on. I also know that internal staff who worked on this game have watched this video, along with the most talented players in the THPS community. You can see comments from several of them on this video. They'd absolutely be calling me out if I tried to cheat without disclosing it. 1. Most tricks in the game seem to have two distinct events in their animations. One when the trick is "complete" enough where you can start another trick or go into a manual or revert or grind without bailing, and a second when the animation actually completes from a visual perspective. The Casper Flip 360 Flip animation is notorious for "ending" sooner than it looks. Because it's a grab, you can basically hold it until the split second before you land. It might still be animating, but the game recognizes the trick as complete, lets you continue your combo, and blends the animations. Most specials and other tricks function like this but a few are more egregious with the animations. You can confirm this by trying it yourself. Try to hold a Casper Flip 360 Flip special grab out as long as possible. Record it and play it back after. 2. Being able to land at an angle without bailing is an essential technique in this run. The slower your forward momentum, the sharper of an angle you can land. Easy to test - if you are not moving at all you can land at whatever angle. Every time I land at a sharper angle I'm not moving with forward momentum at full speed. If you try to recreate any of these, take a video of it and compare them. If you're bailing, you're probably going too fast. If you're still unsure, just record yourself trying any of the sequences you think are sketchy, and compare them carefully.

This is the most mind-blowing TH video I’ve ever seen. It’s more impressive than the best highest combo runs. So technical, precise, stylish. Absolutely enthralling. For perspective, I recently got my first 2 100mil+ combos, both in Warehouse. I got the Platinum Trophy, and I have 814/820 challenges done. (Rest are park creator-related) I also hold a top 100 place for Single Session in 10 parks on PlayStation, the rest are in top 500. I’ve logged 300 hours in the game. And I felt like a kid again, watching this video. Thank you so much for this experience.

Amazing how so many people in this comment section are like "I never thought about doing it like this" or "I never thought this is possible"...20 Years ago we were so good at the original game, that playing it 100% through with one char would get so easy, that we all hopped from "100% level run in one try" to "trying 100% run in one combo"....but of course just tried XD I think we all tried it at least on Hangar, and even if some of us were getting close, with the missing moveset and the money you had to collect it was way more difficult and so (I think) we never made it (even if Hangar was the easiest for endless combos^^) and then we moved on to THPS 3 :-P But i don't want to cheapen your achievement, just awesome!!
