I just want to let you know that in the OG halo trilogy (Halo 1, 2, 3 & ODST) the vehicles don't have their own health and only explode when you die, so as long as you regen your health the vehicle won't die with you in it. Also I loved this vid and I'm probably gonna binge watch the rest of them now lol

lore accurate experience for the average ODST during the Covenant War.

Bro survived halo 1 legendary and got promoted to an ODST what a beast

Having beat halo 2 legendary many times... there is nothing more fun than watching someone else have a 1000x different experience and yet have the same frustrations.

The drive lore is unironically very interesting. Speaking of which, I love the implication of the Flood wanting the stash as it implies Keyes was able to mentally fend off the Flood when it was rummaging through his mind back in CE.

This marine has destroyed a halo ring beat a covenant armada the flood and blew up a halo ring. Now he’s out here doing it again plus killing the prophet of regret. This is the best marine ever.

It’s cool that they made a change for the arbiters missions i honestly would of expected them to just make you a marine and call it a day But Hey atleast they didn’t make you a grunt lol

@@Marinealver my guess is that because the grunt doesn’t have animation for driving stuff etc it would make certain levels impossible or very tedious

Idk why it hurts me so badly but the fact that bro didn't know you could bring the tank through until now hurt my inner child. Same with how you can take the warthog to the hunter section in CE's silent cartographer.

One day we're all gonna get a peak at that hard drive and its just gonna be budder melting on some baps

Fun fact “Staff Sergeant Marvin Mobuto” was the first reclaimer of Halo CE and he almost soloed the Library.

Heard your comment at 49:55 about a flood horror game from the Marine's perspective, and you should know that's exactly the premise behind a fan game called Branching Sickness. It's in development, but from what I've seen it looks really good so far.

i can get the tank all the way up to the circle tunnel you have the load zone in it's less about driving on the ground and more of driving on the wall without tilting the tank too far it kicks you out

Ngl, considering the stats, Halo 2 on Legendary as a marine should be easier than as a Spartan with "Extremely resilient" armor shields

Fun fact: Halo 2's AI is linked to the framerate. Originally the framerate on Xbox was 30 FPS, but I am assuming this is the PC release which goes to 60 FPS which means that the AI is twice as fast as it was in the original game.

Playing Halo 2 on Legendary as a marine with the Anger and That's Just Wrong skulls, and not relying on the elite (noob) combo. You, sir, have earned my like, subscription, and respect.

I don't think anyone would say you "failed" the run because you turned off the skulls for that lift part. Its not like it was a skill issue or you wanted to cheat. It was just physically impossible to progress due to how the parameters were

Everything has more health than the chief, apart from an infection form

Going into this, I'm betting it's going to be easier to do this as a marine than as chief. You go from having 100 total health mostly made up of shields, to having 200 health that all regenerates. Maybe the flood levels are going to be rough.

I wasn't expecting the skulls to be switched on. That said, I don't consider having to turn one of them off for Gravemind to be a failure of the run. Beautiful run, well done! Sorry it took me a couple days to watch through it.

I have the fondest memories of halo 2 legendary. My little brother and I mastered it back in the day just non stop hours of gameplay due to boredom. I would have liked to split screen as a marine with you. It sounds like fun.

Also, your propensity to recycle jokes is already a joke in and of itself, we love it. Only occurs to me now that we never see live marines fighting Flood in Halo 2, only the aftereffects. So there probably wasn't the same systems that are in 1 or 3 for it, hence why infection forms just pop on you lamely. Like a lot of the rough edges on this masterpiece, sad but understandable. Great stuff regardless.

I think that, considering the existence of Halo 3 ODST is just this playthrough series but official, I think it'll be easier. Not "easy" but certainly easier, considering there aren't too many significant gameplay differences between the two aside from the health mechanic. I predict "Cortana" will finally get that aneurysm to burst.

I was literally watching the CE run fell asleep woke up heres the halo 2 run, figures instead of my destiny being something else it was to find this channel and get 2 halo marine runs

I remember when I played H2 the first time on legendary, early 2018, I could not get even halfway through Cairo Station. Having beaten the other Halo games on legendary before, I thought this was on par with them. Booooooi I was so wrong. I lost my original H2 copy way back in 2006 so I didn't get the chance to play it much until I got the MCC. That's why I never knew what I was getting into xD. In fact, I never knew about the noob combo, never knew the Jackal snipers were that good, never knew that my armor was extremely deficient, all up until then. Had to learn speedrun tricks just to get through. I tried to play it normally later on but I just couldn't get past the last section of Delta Halo. These damn drones apparently spawn as you cross a line, and you have no time to hide or do anything. I tried so hard but could not figure anything out.

You know it's not that hard to push the shipmaster into the elevator room by using an energy sword. Once you get him far enough he'll just follow you through the next few sections. Makes the elevator a lot more bearable
