You just need to keep in mind that he routes these runs specifically to keep any potential hard enemies/bosses out of the run. He also has tons of time into the game, and that’s a key part to playing these games well. I’m not saying he’s not amazing at the game, but a lot of this is practice over skill/talent. If you put the effort into learning it all and practicing, you could do these as well!

Want to see something trippy? Go to around 1:13:50 (when he's fighting Rykard) and keep hitting the Left Arrow hotkey for the youtube video (it rewinds 5 seconds). The interval of the spear attacks on the snake looks to be exactly the same as the rewind skip, so it looks like you're watching the same clip over and over, but only the health bar of the boss changes

@@JamesJones-ch4pj currently the only known way is to simply kill him before he can do it. So for most runs it will likely just count as a scripted hit but we will see

Man you are a legend. I am getting hit by random mobs, and have to heavily trade with bosses to get them. In previous souls series, I could imagine myself no hitting them, but not in Elden Ring. Great work!

Moonveil is very bad against bosses that can't bleed. If you fight Elden Beast or Radagon with it you basically face a brick wall

SLVL 1 runs arent hard, done them on souls, it's just repetition. Hardest slvl 1 I found was DS2 sotfs edition

How did you change weapon while running, do you not take both of your thumb of the stick and B button?

To your point in the beginning regarding the momentum jumping, I believe if you begin to sprint, block cancel and then jump you'll do the full long jump from basically any state. Reference Gabri's video on the subject

Would using the shield spell parry cheese be viable for this run? It does a LOT of damage, but idk how long the setup would be in glitchless (but since it does so much damage it might make several of the bosses faster). Great run! Super fun to watch!!

If it were viable runners would’ve routed it in, so it’s either too much work to get or doesn’t do enough to warrant getting over other things. Parrying, even if you’re super good at it is always a risky move so a lot of runners won’t use it.

The idea of Robin Pecknold giving a shoutout to GinoMachino at a concert or the Grammys is so funny to me, but for some reason I can see it happening

Crazy run! Question... in mountaintop of the giants, that big bridge at 1:40:10 how do you ensure the red guy won't shoot the ranged fire attack? I've never had this happen until yesterday; it felt like he shot something at me almost 5 seconds after I was past him.

More than likely it comes down to when you initiate his agro. Enemies seem to have two states of agro, investigation and combat, with combat not always being triggered if you can get out of range after triggering investigation. My guess would be that you may be initiating his investigation before you get past him, giving the AI time to enter combat and initiate a ranged attack as you run past

Followed along in ng+ was a lot of fun!

man he has every single movement and animation memorized to the millisecond of every boss and character, I usually just end up trading with bosses to defeat them or going for bleed or summons

That was intense.

The sprint to jump mechanic is working as intended, otherwise you could just spam jump power attacks super fast and there wouldn't be much of a point to do many other moves because of the mobility aspect

the glowing eyes on 10:33 signal that this is a rare mob that drops more runes than normally. that enemy dropped 570runes compared to 114 on the ones without the glowing eyes

i think rot arrows and short bow would cut out quite a bit of time

When I need to jump far without moving, hold run and spin in a circle on the spot and it'll launch you forward.

most people use glitches and every imagineable bug they can find to do a run but you're the man dude this is fun and educational at the same time
