Being stupid as fuck

The more difficult way is to do it in acro without self levelling and the easier way is to throttle up while still holding it leaned away from you which gives you like 20 seconds+ to start flying. But be careful I had a similar 5inch do a lot to my hand with turtle mode.

It's actually pretty easy what holds people back is fear, fear of damaging or breaking something.

As an fpv pilot, I do not use this stabilization mode. I grab the drone at the top of the battery, arm it and when I let go, I add about 15% thrust. Not too much or your fingers will be off

I used to have a toy drone with "auto takeoff" button (arms and flies up a little), and i loved throwing it and pressing the button, then it had the reverse of that button, so it would turn off as soon as it touched anything. One year we got those small $20 only good for a week drones. My brother and I would always toss it in the air to launch instead of off of the ground. We found it to be more fun. XD

As an experienced drone pilot, this was possibly the easiest trick to learn.

I made a "Grenade Mode" on betaflight which does all this automatically (: Just arm the drone on Angle mode and toss is high in the air. it will altitude hold too after leveling!

I recommend changing arm to throw, since the drone throwttle is on the same side as your arm you used to throw. Will give you more time

My favorite way the drone starts is from that video where it firstly tilt to nearly 90° (parallel to the ground) and then sends it with the light speed

I thought many people could do it, and in fact it’s a neat little feature in Watch Dogs 2, when Markus uses his drone he yeets it into the air and then turns it on

People don't understand how scary it is to throw a drone. Those bad boys are expensive and even a small impact may cause damage (sometimes not visible which is even worse)

And here I am always laying down concrete to make a launch pad for the drone. I bought a folding stool that cost about 4$, and goes pretty compact. Could probably use it if there's no suitable surface available.

I have a rc plane and I turn it on and then throw it. And yes, it does work with the drones too. Just don’t be scared of the blades if you hold it right they won’t even touch you and they don’t hurt.

Depends on the drone. I’ve got toy size drones up to 5” freestyle. My 4” freestyle can rotate 10 times in 1 second. It can cut through cardboard like it’s butter, without even slowing down. I treat the big ones with the respect and fear they deserve. The little ones with prop guards indeed don’t hurt and can’t cut much.

There’s a third way called remote in the right hand on the arm button and holding it directly above you with the left hand. When you spin up fist throttle up and off it goes.

I haven't flown a drone in a long time but last time I did, I just kept the thing upright in my palm, then I tossed it up, while I was tossing it up, I maxed the throttle and 5x out of ten it just flew up before I even get the chance to let go of it

In betaflight you can set the motors to not spin when armed so you don’t have to arm mid flight. You can arm and then just increase the throttle once it’s out of your hand.

I might be high but this seems like a symbolic skit thing for parenting, you are scared to throw the drone in the air but it will only fly if you throw it hard enough so you just have to trust the drone. He is the parent and dron is child. Just give your children freedom and if you are a good parent then they will fly high in life, but it can be scary that you might lose them.
