the funniest thing is that infections from dirty bandages are a joke, and will almost never affect you so chrbrg essentially killed himself by removing that bandage

Yeah I mean in this start, infections are the absolute least of your worries That said you pretty much need to find a suture needle, vitamins and loads of food. You keep yourself well fed for the health bonus then take off the bandage and stitch the deep wound. Otherwise it's just a permanent health drain that will get you killed eventually, if usually indirectly.

@@plushie946 Actually believe it or not I've actually had a deep wound heal on its own before I had been looking for a suture needle everywhere but couldn't find one but then bada Bing bada boom it was healed 2 weeks in.

@@ztoxicman I've never had that personally, generally cause I either find a needle or suture needle, or because my health reaches a sliver and I trip or get knocked over and its enough to kill me instantly. I wasn't even aware that was possible

@@johnathangoldstein9991 CDDA is *way* harder than Project Zomboid, primarily due to so many things being incredibly time sensitive, but it being difficult to do anything quickly in CDDA. PZ being real time and 3D makes it a lot easier to precisely do things that need to be done carefully or quickly. That said this start for PZ is almost entirely RNG. If you don't find a suture needle it's almost impossible to survive. If you don't find large amounts of food, it's just impossible. The zombies are just an added layer of difficulty, since sneezing and coughing means they're constantly tracking you while you're looting food.

Every time Charborg leaves a window open after he enters it, I immediately feel anxious for him.

Important rule even if the bandage is dirty in this game DON'T remove it if you're HP bar is on a single pixel line without using a medkit or something

He did a several stream long RP run with the gang and it's an incredible storyline. If you have the time, check it out on the fan run stream vods channel. Or the vods may still be available on twitch. It's the Chud/Dog Goblin you're looking for, though the first stream in the series likely doesn't have either of those in the name, since he came up with the character in the first stream

He’s also currently doing zomboid streams (and even did his face reveal after losing a zomboid challenge a few days ago) The most recent zomboid streams are him playing as some psycho who keeps talking to a dead body named Barry, who is voiced by chat. It’s hilarious tbh.

Another banger video, this time of an absolutle banger game. Also, with the bandages- Stopping the bleeding is priority, but you don't gotta switch it out instantly once it becomes dirty. Infection will kill you a lot slower than the zombies directly behind you will.

@@isappycracks I've been our groups Doctor since Build 41 added multiplayer, and to my knowledge, infected wounds (The type you get from dirty bandages, not to be confused with the zombie infection you can get from bites/lacerations/scratches) only add pain, and slow the time it takes to heal. It does not add risk of zombie infection.

@@isappycracks Oh! No, that's the unmodded game. The zombie infection and infected wounds are two different things. An infected wound comes from dirty bandages, and is okay, it won't kill you. But when a zombie attacks you, there's a chance you will get the zombie infection. A scratch has I believe a 3% chance, a laceration has a 25% chance, and being bit has a 100% chance. The zombie infection will always kill you, there's no way to cure it once you get it.

Ultimately, it is impossible to survive staying in the town. Your best chance is to run into the forest with some ripped sheets and keep going until you single out a zombie or you find a farmhouse and a barn to warm up. Once you get rid of the cold, then you have a better chance to fight and move on from there.

Yeah, thats the only way Ive been able to succeed in this challenge. I immediately head north to the large farm losing the zombies in the trees. From there it gets easier depending on rng. Last time I played this challenge I lasted a couple months before I took a break from the game. I stayed in the house until my cold was gone and made my way west to McCoys, found a working car that I used to get to the farm houses a bit farther to the west. No zombies out there so it was 100% safe, other than the zombies that might spawn in houses. Didnt even have to worry about the helicopter event because there were no zombies close enough to get drawn in.

I had the glass from a ceiling fan fall on me in a restaurant, I got a couple grand hush hush money from the owner because he happened to be there 😂

I have recently been catching up on the Project Zomboid MP VOD's, this is cool to see where Chud got all his skills. #RIP Maple, Piston and the entire school, gone but not forgotten

Even with the best stats and easiest start I only managed to survive one day, and killed roughly 7 zombies with my bare hands before inevitably bleeding out from getting scratched.

" DHEOGH! Zourng boi!" -Charborg 2022 So inspiring.

he actually survived 15 minutes in attempt 4, he survived 7 hours, a day is 24 (1 hour) and divide that by 4 = 6 (15 minutes) so he actually beat the challenge without realizing it

The ONE time out of like 20 tries that I managed to get my dude past the early "gonna die" phase he was down to terminal damage and had a tiny sliver of health. I got him "safe" on some road north of Muldraugh and decided that was good: Insane zombies isn't my thing yet.

This challenge is usually death or easy farm victory, no in between.

That emoticon in the stop right corner of the thumbnail somewhat resembles the sims 3 sweating profusely emotiocon… coincidence?

the second he gets a burn that run is over a deep wound takes 15-20 hours to heal which nice nice not the worst thing to heal from in game time. a burn takes 50-100 hours to heal and from can be told fast or slow healer doesn't effect this time also secondary fact you dont have to replace a bandage when its dirty it increses the chance it gets infected which mostly just makes it heal slower so unless your absolutely possitive you have the heath for it depending on the injury you should just avoid changing it sense the exact things it does is cause minor heath loss when unbandaged minor amount of pain and it slightly decreases heal time

You know, given how much coughing you do, there is absolutely no reason to sneak till your cold goes down.. What helped me with this challenge? As soon as I got shoes and cloths and bandaged the cut, I just walked northeast till I hit the farm up there. It was still a pain, having to fight zombies that found me, but it was a great start..
