Hey Bishoy!! I'm honoured that you've watched this video so many times! It will depend on the school's policy and Australian policy regarding international students, but hopefully you can get a spot. There are some international students in my cohort in UWA who were accepted last year, so hopefully it's the same again this year. Good luck man, and keep me updated!

Congrats Peter! I just had a few questions: I'm currently in year 11 and I was wondering if I want to do post grad dentistry instead of undergrad bc I probably won't get in due to the competition: 1. what undergrad degree would you recommend doing? eg. Bachelor of science or doing a bachelor of oral health? 2. do you reckon it's easier to get into dentistry straight after the HSC or doing an undergrad degree and then proceed to do a post grad in dentistry?

Hey Chloe! To answer question 1, as an undergraduate degree I'd recommend something that you really enjoy and are confident that you can get good marks in for your GPA, and then focus on the GAMSAT. Keep in mind that UniMelb and USyd post-grad courses have some prerequisite subjects that you may have to complete! To answer question 2, it definitely depends on what you are looking for. Undergrad will be generally a shorter degree, but most undergrad dental schools have a relatively high ATAR and UCAT requirement. Post-grad pathway is not necessarily easier because you have applicants from all ages and backgrounds, not just Year 12 students, and that can potentially broaden the scope of the competition. I just have a question. Did you do any vet courses for working as a dental assistant? I'm currently a year 12 student wanting to work as a dental assistant to see if I actually want to do dentistry or not.

Hey, thanks for your question! I think it definitely depends on the dental clinic/practice that you want to work at, but generally most can train you up after you apply!

Damn, I wouldn't be able to talk about these things let alone make a KZread video when I was waiting for these kinds of results. It was too intense for me.

Can l ask? Which subject did you choose to study in year 11 and 12 because l have trouble choosing bio, chem, and phy. I don't really want to choose all 3😢please tell me how you did it to pass the year 12 and which subject you choose to finish? Postgrad full-fee in AU is way overpriced, but if you are offered CSP, you're an absolute fool for not taking it. Go for it mate, you deserve it. I moved across the state just because unimelb offered CSP for my postgrad.

You're right, but when ppl have been trying for years and have no other choice they're kinda choked for options. In the end you'll be able to pay it off quite easily and it's nothing compared to the fees in the US and Canada.

How does dent work? Apply through GEMSAS or can you apply directly to the uni?

Hey Bridie! It depends what university you want to attend, and whether you are a high school leaver or undergrad student! For Melbourne Uni, it's through GEMSAS, but the rest of the unis are either directly to the uni (UWA, USyd) or through VTAC/SATAC/QTAC etc! I'll make a video about it soon when it's closer to application season!

I guess CSP not considered as scholarship ?_? But still amazing stuff congrats !! ..... I had a similar situation with another course, not dentistry, got offered at USYD, UNSW and UWA and picked UWA because they offered me a CSP :P
