I love how it slowly becomes some sort of arg, but without the arg

I had one of those stair & slides except it was penguins instead of ducks. They were blue and looked like the baby penguin from Super Mario 64 and it didn’t play any music. Bonus anecdote: I had a garage sale one day and gave it to a bored looking kid and his mom. I even swapped out fresh batteries for them!

I find it interesting how above a certain voltage many of these lose their trigger logic. The dog ignores the missing bee and the player keeps kicking.

i'm pretty sure that's because once it reaches around 5 volts or higher the IC chip (which controls movements and trigger logic) just borks out entirely, and after then on the wires are directly connected to the motors

im not usually upset by like dark-humor-esque toys (i don’t think anything is more traumatizing to the children than furbies) but damn is that bee stung dog fucked up. like if it didn’t have the noise i think it’d be okay, but it sounds like a genuinely hurt dog.

this is peak comedy to me sped up videos are already hilarious but the medium being physical elevates it to a whole nother level with them being able to suddenly break and whatnot also really nicely highlights how ingenious and geniously simple some of these toy designs are top it off with a nice mixture of scientific and cinematic framing 👌
