I remember logging in and being baffled why I couldn't stake ppl more than like 5k every 30 mins or w/e it was. Nobody had a clue what was going on, and there was radio silence from Jagex on wth they were thinking. Everyone was in a panic for a few days like "they're not gonna destroy pking too right? They wouldn't do something THAT crazy right??" And now I'm remembering how just north of Varrok was where all the jr pkers went to fight. But that was the end of low lvl staking. Like even after we got free trading back, all that you saw in DA was maxed accs boxing away all the money they got from flower games and the GE.

Man, whenever Osrs first came out, back in mid 2013, I was level 50-60ish with 80 range. I remember going to the arena & a mid level, 100 something staked me 10m for my 500k. Rune knives/rcbow. I fucking won! One of my best moments on the account

Lmao one day a while back, I had 80 range on a 50 combat in f2p green dhide, some guy tries to range duel me for 150k and tries to hide a runeplatebody. He ended up losing by a long shot

That anti scam with the fletching cape has never worked, it was created to trick people into thinking they can anti scam - Used to be very common with sending the clips to Sparc Mac (there was a bridge lure done showcasing the anti lure which also didn’t work)

@Greenleaf, this is incorrect the ability to use the fletching cape perk in a dual was removed by jagex in the 5 July 2018 update. You can confirm this on there official website. The exact text in the update was: "The Fletching skill cape and the Max cape can no longer be used to obtain a Bronze crossbow whilst in a duel. This is related to the integrity changes from last week which saw it made impossible to unload and uncharge weapons during duels for the purpose of deceiving your opponents."

i believe this is "counter-scamming" not "anti-scamming" major difference being that, in essence you are scamming them, but you target scammers, thus countering their scam with another scam, hence: counter-scam.

I did 80-99 strength at duel arena back in 2011-2012 just friendly fighting other dds’s and whips. I miss where there was a friendly side (side closest to bank chest) and a staking side. Even got the maxed out duelist hat that they introduced.

Oh god, this is so good. I look back on shitting on scammers at the duel arena with nostalgia, but I am very glad the sand casino is finally gone; it was a massive problem, and while it's been there since the beginning it'll be a good thing for everyone that it's no longer there anymore.

I remember just falling in love with this world, thinking it was just this vast and endless place. Picking up quests and never finishing them, but thinking they were really full of mystery and cool rewards. This game has to be one of the most brilliantly designed games ever.

I haven't played runescape since i was a kid but this video is great. you're the hero we all need.

I had a buddy who was a hosted for Dragon. He was literally making almost 60k a year doing that. He still had his full time job, because he knew it wouldn't last forever. In the mean time though, he literally had a bunch of coins and could buy whatever he wanted on the game, plus was making that much. This was back when the housing market was down too. He was able to buy a pretty nice home at a great price due to the economy.
