Love the textures and finishes he put on the classic designs even “not so much money”people have been wearing for the last era. There was a time 30 -50 years or so ago when someone did “dress for success” studies and concluded beige or tan coats or were perceived as “friendlier” and so no one wore black or colored coats only tan.Later black was the edgy young color everyone wore, then now back to neutrals but now as old money instead of friendlier. Interesting.

You read my mind, dear! Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It’s fascinating to see how color trends and their social perceptions have shifted over time, especially in the context of ‘old money’ styles. It’s interesting to consider whether these changes reflect broader societal shifts or if they’re just cyclical fashion trends. What do you think has had the biggest impact on these shifts? 🤔🥰

@@TRENDSSPOTTEDFASHIONAgeless I was going to ask you. I suspect big designers or clothing manufacturers trying to generate sales. Follow the money! 💰 old or new….

You’ve hit the nail on the head! It often seems that economic incentives are at the heart of these shifting fashion trends. Designers and brands do indeed follow the money, which can lead to trends that are more about profit than genuine style innovation. It’s a fascinating, if not somewhat cynical, aspect of the fashion industry. 🤑💰 For instance, take the micro shorts trend from my recent video-I personally don’t get it, unless it’s just to stir up conversation. What do you think?🤔

@@TRENDSSPOTTEDFASHIONAgeless I answered on that video,, too, but.yes, we should have seen that coming after several years of long shorts! I'm going to sit that one out, just like I sat out the "Daisy Dukes" (cutting off blue jeans above the underwear line). It's not just clothes, though, it's almost all design especially housing, furniture, etc., since the 1950s - planned obsolescence. It's wasteful. As consumers we have to stand our ground, and just say no to disposable fashion.

@lbrowning2543 You’re right! It’s really important to see how these trends affect more than just fashion but many things we buy. I’m with you on choosing to skip trends that don’t last and don’t make sense. Here, I try to look at trends more carefully, thinking about what stays in style longer and what’s actually worth it. Xoxo 💋 P.s. Thank you for your support
