Yoongi has said that Haegeum was written around the same time as Daechwita. They are related, with many similarities. He suggested watching Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala in that order. The more you watch the MV the more you pick up on. Scar Agust D was the crooked police chief. If you notice the man near the beginning trying to secretively call someone, it appears he was calling the crooked police chief Agust D. He is the only one who survived, and gang leader Agust D nodded to him on his way out with the money. Similar to rebel Agust D in Daechwita nodding to the meat butcher in the beginning who then turned out to be the executioner who let him free and gave him the gun. At then end, it was the same man pushing him into the water barrel and who put the gun in the barrel. Again, betrayal as they all stood back while gang leader Agust D shot the crooked police chief. It appears that gang leader Agust D was luring the crooked police chief out by stealing his money. I loved the lyrics. Yoongi is calling all to get onboard and together lift the ban on restrictive things. The importance of differentiating between freedom and self indulgence. People do and say things in the name of their freedom but it is really self indulgence. You need to watch the Disney+ documentary and he gives some insight into that. All I have to say is I am onboard Min Yoongi! 💜

The impact of watching all three together is intense.💜🥺 And after watching Amygdala, you can't help but look at the other two in a fresh light. 💜🤔 In a way it's typical of BTS... Always adding extra layers of meaning.💜🤗 But Amygdala is a painfully intense, and beautifully personal. And softly, warmly, healing.💜

A haeguem is also to lift a ban on something. That's why Agust D says that this song is to lift a ban on the forbidden. Also, both versions of Agust D in the Daechwita video have the scar. That video was the king vs the boss. The one in this video is the boss. Both times, the king or boss became corrupt. Yoongi is taking out those sides of himself.

Ya Suga is killing off Agust D. He has always wanted it to be a trilogy. He talks more about it with IU on her show Palette and his new episode of Suchwita with RM as the host and him there as Agust D.

when I saw the video title I thought: you'll fell really unwell when watching amygdala. but no spoiler here, just a theory about daechwita and haegeum that I read in some comments: the one who killed the king in daechwita is now the police officer. the different versions throughout daechwita and haegeum might stand for a development. this is supported by the fact that the officer's scar has healed a bit compared to the king-killer from daechwita. and now for the first time comes a version without a scar. and that fits that yoongi said during suchwita hosted by RM that for now he doesn't have anything to say as agust d anymore. and where the scar came from and what it stands for is revealed in amygdala.

A lot of people, including me, get "The Dark Knight" Joker vibes with this video. With the head out of the cop window, the burning of the money, etc.
