@@thorenoss thats such a weird thing to say? just because their video came out first? like watching their video i see divots already created on tee boxes and the fairway. sand that has been kicked up from bunkers they weren't in. just because a video is posted first doesn't mean it happened first.
Watching this video single handedly gives the best up and downs of GOLF. You’ll be high in the clouds and then humbled very quickly. Some people forget how hard it is to hit the same exact shot every single time with multiple clubs. Good job Rick, at least you’re real and not a bunch of BS.
Man the level of hate lately is crazy in the comments. As a 9 handicap I shoot all over the map. Seems like we’re all tour pros in here lately. Great video Rick and team!

It’s honestly getting annoying. I don’t understand why people feel the need to comment. If you don’t like the videos, just don’t watch it. If you think (insert name here) is a better KZread golfer, then just watch their stuff. It’s especially annoying because it’s not like Rick carries himself like he thinks that he’s greatest. He’s actually pretty open about his troubles and weak spots

He shot 15 pars, missed 3 easy birdie putts and lost a ball. 7 over is decent for a low handicap golfer. It’s 30 points off scratch which is always a good score.

@@FlySoto Nah, he knows he is not a tour pro. I think his issue is that he plays every shot as if he is going to pure it. He uses tour level irons instead of forgiving. He switched to a high speed driver from a forgiving one. Off the tee he only sees "position A" and does not try to be safe.

Have you ever considered using a conventional putting grip for putts longer than 10-15 feet or so to get a bit more solid contact? Once you’ve played claw for a while, face contact using a conventional grip just feels so much more solid off the sweet spot. Then keep the claw for shorter range to fight the slice putt path.

Ive been binging Rick's videos lately. I love that he posts when he plays phenomenally and when his play is less refined. Makes for a more realistic approach to a tough sport we all love.
The course sure is great looking! I live in a semi-desert in Texas, so green grass is quite a sight for me. Rick, you realize this is a once in a lifetime or less, probably much less, opportunity! No divots, no bumps, no oddities, just picture perfect. Awesome.
Rick, I’m one hole in and it’s my favourite video of yours this year… because you can see genuine joy. Please keep that!
That first ever birdie putt is why we love watching you. You post all the game we all live with.
Rick, I've been watching you do club reviews for years. Great review of the course just ten miles from London. You are a humble and honorable man. Appreciating the honor of being the first player ever on the course and humbled by your clam demeanor playing good golf and not your best golf. Well done video and thanks for the course overview.
Seems like you played better using Kirkland equipment. Nice video!

Mike88GT: Very true but as you may remember, when he was using the Kirkland clubs, he was too busy finding reasons to not give them a good rating. For example, knocking the driver for not having the shaft he normally uses even though he hit it well. Also, downgrading the driver because Kirkland does not have a matching 3 & 5 woods. Also, after shooting 7 over with his fitted clubs, I wonder what grade he gave them?
That putt on the 9th 🤦😆 we've all been there 🙏
79 on a coarse that's never been played before. I think that's a great benchmark! Obviously, the next time you play, it will be a very different score. We'll done and thanks for the content Rick.
Loving the close-up slowmo shots after the putts
Hey Rick, but shout out from Australia! The course looks mint!
Love your content and I especially love the training videos (e.g., chipping ones with Dan). Rick, maybe it is time for you to work on the mental aspect of the game. As amateurs we would love to know what it takes to keep the concentration during the entire 18 holes. Like many out there, we want to see you break 75 more often. You have the game. You just need to hold it together for the entire 18 holes. Easier said than done :)
Thanks Rick for showing us the hole course. 🤣 love the real golf ⛳️
Rick, what an honor. To be fair, with close to three million subscribers and all rabid golfers not a bad adverts for the new course. Well done and as always thanks for the content.

So relatable. That's what makes your videos so great. I can relate to not being able to get that birdie to drop and following straight pars with a double. Thanks for the view of this great golf course. Would love to come play this course.
Love your positive mindset. Been following you for years and its good to see that you have changed from being hard on yourself to focusing on the positive and not focusing on bad luck or poor performance. Enjoy this content much more than where you where half a year ago
What an absolute pleasure to vicariously accompany you on this round Rick!!!!! Many thanks.
Rick would be amazing at the good good "fairway is lava" game 🤣
Course record for most birdie putts missed - all good rolls too 😂😢
Great video. Thank you for the best golf content on KZread.
I think with some more forgiving iorns, at least in the top of the bag, and maybe driver you'd see your score quite a bit better. Great video
That's golf! It just struck me, Rick, what a good job you do of carrying on a monolog for 18 holes while playing golf- and how difficult that must be. But it's that monolog that you have that makes your videos worth watching. Great job!
I've always loved Rick's videos, whether it's break 75, club reviews, or podcast, he just seems like an average guy you could drink some pints with.🍺🍺🍺🍺⛳⛳
