Why is eggsoup referencing shit so much?

I was also actually considering leaving the partnership program since last month but for a slightly different reason. I do KZread strictly as a hobby, and I am not a Brawlhalla only channel, I upload variety content. This combined with tons of stress from life and also the partnership program not giving that much has really pushed me away. I'm not entirely sure if I'll leave yet, but I'm on the fence.

yep the real reason i’m no longer a partner is because of a farting iguana. it’s not the unprofessionalism of the video, but rather i was caught in the crossfire of bmg‘s own projected rage over their lack of ability to pass gas since childhood and they couldn’t handle having to see such a small creature releasing such a vigorous, opulent blast on a consistent basis

It's exactly a sponsorship, by connection. If I were to advertise my buddy's snack company, I legally (and ethically) should disclose it. You would be bound with brawlhalla, though not through blood.

i think ur smart for leaving, but at the same time, i wish u tried to ask for more benefits especially since they made it legal. Yes it’s better that u just left but for business mindset it’s good to ask for like a ton of codes to giveaway while u were a partner and u should have ask to be paid from the beginning and u could have fought harder to get the scoop on more news and things other than battle pass. Yes it’s their fault but most companies are scummy and dumb and aren’t gonna give the most to their employees if they don’t think they have to. I just asked for a raise at work and got it and now the owners have been treating me way worse but at least i’m paid more and i can live happily knowing i fought for myself instead of being complacent. People worked there for 5+ years and i’m getting same pay as then after months cause i fought when they didn’t. sad

Yes, though if they start paying him then brawlhalla is a lot more responsible for what he does/says meaning his freedom to do/say whatever would be stifled. There are legitimate ways that asking for a bigger piece of the pie could effect his channel in the long run. From the picture he paints, the partnership is exclusively for increasing new brawlhalla related content specifically the battle pass. If he doesn't like x thing in the battle pass hypothetically and are paying him, they might force him to window dress the issues because they can cut off that extra revenue or use more tactics.

Good on you for making the decision, but is legality really such a big deal for creators to stick with this program? It feels like putting the # in the description wouldn't hurt especially since you can make crossover videos for free when the skins release (since thats like 90% of brawl updates now). (No hate on your decision btw since the internet would read this and see me hating on the creator. Just a genuine question of interest)

Putting hashtags on a video or stream (especially a "sponsored" one) means the algorithm is less kind to you. It hurts the discoverability of the videos, which is a pretty big deal for full-time creators.

2:16 Who told you that? I would have to see the law, because the only time that is the case if you are being PAYED in some fashion by the company. It doesn't make much sense to me. It sounds like to me thats what brawllhalla is doing just to protect their buts not the actual law, because if it was just a couple giveaways & keys once in a blue moon, their is no law to my knowledge for that. But yeah corporations i guess would rather be safe than sorry i imagine especially if they are not a huge conglomerate.

If you wanted to do the extra work, you could make a business LLC, possibly s corp, and have that business partner with brawlhalla. Than you could, as an employee for that company using a different name, work with brawlhalla and thus keep yourself separate. Something along those lines.

@@YouLose You're kidding right? I have registered quite a few businesses. It doesn't cost much of anything at all. Under 100 dollars to set up the LLC and free to turn it into a S Coorp. Getting an EIN is free.

This yearly tax will be due, even if you are not conducting business, until you cancel your LLC. You have until the 15th day of the 4th month from the date you file with the SOS to pay your first-year annual tax. *EVEN IF* he was only paying $80 dollars LLC FEE and $20 filling cost, it wouldn't be worth it just to appear in one BMG authorized/partnered video. With that same $100 dollars, he could buy a bunch of codes and give them away. BMG isn't even paying him to do it so he wouldn't even break even on his partnered. It's just not worth it to make himself and his channel an LLC just so he can partner with BMG.

@@YouLose Huh, I can't say what is true for California, but if that is the case California sucks and really doesn't take the interests of small businesses in mind. Here in Hawaii it is as I said. Sure, we have a GE tax, but that is based off of what we make. There is a business annual registration fee, but it's only 25 dollars. I just paid it yesterday. Well I can't speak for Cali I suppose.
