One time my mom and her friend were at a temple. It's a very quiet and reverent place so normally people don't talk too much. My mom's friend starts whispering jokes to my mom and she would giggle and tell her to shush. My mom's friend replied to the shush with "what's ur deal? My God has a sense of humor." I love that quote and live by it. This game just reminded me of that story lol.

You reminded me of my mum who used to go to obligatory Christmas parties with a fiscal branch above her tax office because nobody wanted to dine with supervisors and it was a different city. Usually, those parties were boring and she had nobody to talk to but on this occasion, she was sitting with the main director on one side and his brother on the other side. The brother had never been to those before and he enjoyed making jokes about the director thus mum decided he was her new best friend for the duration of the party. What did she do for hours upon hours? They both shared a lot of priest jokes. Yes, at the end of the party, she learned that the bloke was a priest. To be fair, most that I ran into, would be the same. Our town had more churches than supermarkets but surprisingly only a few horrid priests. The bishop kept stealing my chips though. Anytime I had chips, he materialised and stole them :( .

I cant tell if this game is serious or satirical but as a Christian I think it is hilarious. I like to think the developers knew what they were doing and purposefully made it absurd. Your commentary made it even better. Very funny video, thank you very much Mr. CallMe

I feel like it’s serous. If it was satirical I think it would of been made a bit more absurd and been lower quality. You see a lot of weird things like this when Christians try to make Christian video games and movies.

Kevin’s paleness saves us all

They REALLY sped run the very beginning of the game by making a cutscene out of the whole birth story and jumping straight to the awakening lmao I think this game could have been really improved by a maze level based on Jesus getting left behind by his parents in a crowd at the temple when he was like 12-14 😂

I did NOT expect them to try to add gameplay to this. The part with Jesus blasting viruses in a bloodstream was wild.

You can bring Walter to wine but you cannot make him drink. He does that all on his own

@@Liv-uu9rk Lmfao I swear medieval open world games have their own fever dream charm. You spam your health by eating random things like 10 raw eggs and some stale bread. Fable 2 is bizarre with their health system too, you're able to eat baby chicks but it gives you evil points.

@@stevendemayo3631 it's not even that, Pentiment was a title set in medieval Europe during peasants revolting against a complacent church, but it doesn't go off to make it look ridiculously evil. It was actually quite respectful to see it both address how it was important to people at the time, yet their faith isn't treated like this consuming thing.

This reminds me of the time my mom couldn't find a baby sitter or daycare for the summer and she made me go to church camp. I have some weird ass memories from that. Funny enough 12 years later my friend went to a party at the camp and the cops got called and fights broke out

There's a... very large sect of American Bible Churches that believes Jesus and all the people in this era were conventionally white European. It's weird, and yes it's part of the White Supremacy zeitgeist adjascent. I wouldn't be surprised if they were behind this game.

Fun fact, the word "word" in the first (modern) bible passage is translated from the Greek "λόγος" (logos) which can mean so many things. It can mean word or speech but also meaning, evidence, universe or even jewelry. It has so many different meanings that I don't really think the meaning can be definitely interpreted to mean "word".
