She said during the press conference, I believe, that she's known for her high notes in Twice, but wanted to take the risk and focus on diversity for her own solo. And I personally didn't miss the highnotes, her vocals are *really* good as it is with her going off in the background here and there

Yeah, she also mentioned that they wanted her to do originally for a ballad but in response, essentially, said “why release a solo if I’m not gonna dance too?”

im glad jihyo has been getting so much freedom with this album, stylistic wise, range wise and she said she HATES cute concepts in twice so this is amazing!

I've been playing it yesterday while baking Christmas cookies (don't ask) and I even listened to it while I was painting with candles lit and I was in my happiest state! Really boosts my mood! Also I highly recommend you listen to the acapella version without music, it really highlights her vocals. And it's nice when you just wanna sit and chill. You don't have to bop your head like you have have to for the beat of the original version and you can just follow the sweet gentle melody.

I'm glad that she was given full control of the direction she wanted this album to go and the freedom to choose the song list. With most songs written/co-written by Jihyo this is really an album for her, and to showcase different tones to her fans. Very proud of her and well deserved! 💯

I knew I loved Jihyo but Killin' me good hit me so hard that I immediately had to learn the choreo after the song came out. Problem: no dance practice and no mirrored stage videos. I literally spent all night learning the choreo because this song is THAT GOOD.

This is what I love about solos from members in groups, they get to show a side that isn't exposed too much, and to see that person shine alone. Jihyo's lines in twice songs were mostly high notes and chorus lines with high registers, her album perfectly showcased her vocal colors and her lower register. Not just that, but we get to see her crazy stage presence and dancing skills since she's the main focus.I loved Jihyo before, but I love her even more now!

The fact Jihyo went for a two hits with amazing choreographies to both, is a testament to her wanting to be the very best she can. Closer really does hits different. And so Room.

I'm so proud for her She deserve it She slay everthing in vocal, visuals, dance. And she write 6 songs of album...

the choreography for closer is absolutely fantastic. Just listening it didn't jump out to me on the album but as soon as I saw the full performance it jumped to my top spot. It is a phenomenal performance from Jihyo, a good song, and an incredible piece of art from the choreographer whoever they are. My favorite song on the album just listening is Room.

She's killing ME good! Jihyo was my favorite from the very beginning. I remember watching how Twice was made, because I only came to kpop 2017, and I cried when they treated her like shit because if her weight. I wasn't aware of the Korean beauty standards. I remember getting so mad, when she lost weight and they praised her like crazy. I only thought this beautiful woman has so much talent, such a good voice etc and I prayed she will have her solo debut somehow once in her life and now here we are... She deserves everything and the video is so well made and her outfits fits her so well and I can't get over her beautiful face, awesome figure and her amazing voice. This song is everything, her album is everything. It was about time ❤

this album is amazingly enjoyable. I'd put Don't wanna go back at the top. never has a song had so much flavor 👌 I'm extremely proud of her for creating this whole experience, definitely a real artist worth of being called as such

I knew Don't wanna go back was gonna be my favourite since the sneak peek (I mean I love Heize too so it was a given) but gotta be honest I wasn't expecting much from Talkin about it and it really blew me away, it was such a good collab!

Great reaction! I had a similar one when I watched the MV and the Closer performances, she is just so captivating and powerful. My favourite tracks right now are Closer, Nightmare and Killin Me Good/Don't Wanna Go Back. When I first listened to the album my first impression was the same, only I didn't love Room and Wishing On You that much. After a few listens, all tracks grew on me and I love how different they are and have different mood, yet the mini feels very cohesive and fits Jihyo and her voice really so well. She participated in the production, choosing the material and themes, and wrote the lyrics, I can really see that it's her passion project 🧡 I listened to the performance of Nightmare before but hearing it recorded, the stunning layers and melodies especially in the chorus, and Jihyo's emotional singing just get me and I teared up while listening to it. Same with Don't Wanna Go Back - the adlibs in the second part till the end are so beautiful and emotional, it also made me cry. Thank you for this reaction and supporting Jihyo! ☺️ I hope you will enjoy listening to the whole mini and her Killin Me Good performance.

Jihyo said that the story line was they fell in love while he was on a trip overseas to Korea and he had to go back. Then as time went on it became harder to communicate so she broke up with him. And at the end she took off their matching t shirts to find new love.

I really happy she went with a song that also shows off her dancing and performance since main vocalists are often given ballads

try to settle my thought about this EP. (might be a while), like in 'killin me good' (i think) i like music stage show more (mostly, i not like this). all songs are so good, another solid one. (not sure 'wishing on you' or 'room' that she(they) play with main vocal and ad-lib (like she talking to herself) and i love it.) love the way she control her vocal (flow?), emotional delivery is good (as always). (r&b with latin beat vibe (or reggae???) in 'closer' also find in 'firework' in 'more&more' EP. you might like it, (but not as 'sensual' as 'closer', 'closer' might be like 'firework'+'oxygen'+'shadow' ??? :P), again 'more&more' also a good EP. a solid one.) again, this EP. is fun. have a good day. :)
