I am Dorothea Binz, and my story is a dark and haunting one - Nazi Guard

I am Dorothea Binz, and my story is a dark and haunting one. I was born in Germany in 1920, and in 1939, I made a fateful decision to join the SS. Little did I know the path it would lead me down.
During World War II, I served as a guard in the Nazi concentration camps, first at Ravensbrück and later at Auschwitz-Birkenau. Regrettably, I gained notoriety for my cruelty towards the prisoners. I was ruthless, often subjecting inmates to beatings and mistreatment.
My main responsibility was overseeing female prisoners, and I became known for my sadistic behavior. The suffering I inflicted on those innocent souls is a burden I cannot erase.
After the war, justice caught up with me. In 1947, I was found guilty of war crimes and sentenced to death by hanging. On May 2, 1947, in Hamelin, Germany, I faced the consequences of my actions.
My story serves as a grim reminder of the atrocities committed during the Holocaust and the individuals, like myself, who were responsible for the unimaginable horrors that took place in those dark times.
