As a Jamaica I love lamb because I can relate so heavily. African culture and Jamaican culture is very similar. Thanks for not changing you because it’s hard being overseas and not buy into the fact that we have to adapt to the language and the mannerism. We love you as you are and we are very proud my African brother ❤😭

you are RRRRRIIIIIGGGHHHTTTTTT... your accent DOES NOT NEED TO BE CHANGED. All you need to do is speak English in an intelligible, clear manner so that people can understand you. Everyone in The US is from another country... and speak with their own accent ... EVERYONE ... except the Native/Aborigines, who the NEW AMERICANS have ostracized and tried to kill off. Only their children have rejected their parents' accents and are trying to be all fairytale like in thinking they are superior because they were born in that country. I see it before my eyes each day when even children of Central and South Americans reject their parents' Spanish JUST to speak "American-sounding" English. 99% of them do not even speak Spanish and that hurts their parents but they do not care because, "I am American, not Spanish!" ha! Do not let ANY so-called "Americans," with that fake Hollywood / fairytale accent, make you think you are not equal because you do not speak in THAT way. You have waaaaayyy better vocabulary and grammar than them, they just have a made-up fake accent. However, you cannot believe that people in The US will understand your accent too. However, you will need to MELD into the pot and speak in a clear international fluent English. Try not to say "baggah", because YOU DO NOW there is an "R" in the word, and "R" sounds like rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, not "ah". Therefore the word is burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr-gerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Say that and you have then spoke clear international English which EVERY English speaker will understand. No need to try to put on an "Ah, meyyyyyrrrrr- ih- kayyyyynn" accent when you say burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr-gerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, that's all. Just say burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr-gerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. As long as it is not baggah then you're good!
