What if Tyler IS the bishops, AND Clancy AND a bandito? After all, the bishops represent parts of HIM, the parts of his mind that work against him (red), and the banitos (I think) represent his source of strength, support and hope (yellow)? It may be that he realises he’ll always have to live with both colours inside of him, as they are both parts of who he is, but as time has gone on, he’s learning how to take control of the red instead of IT controlling him, and he is now strong enough to face his tormentors head on, making them bend to his will, instead of the other way around. Some people think orange might be the new era colour, and red + yellow = orange. I dunno, just throwing ideas around. 🤔 🤷🏼‍♀️

Clancy isn't joining the bishops, the red tape is "Rebel Red", it's signifying the Banditos coming out of the shadows, the Bishops can't see yellow, so it's representing the Banditos coming out of the shadows and gearing up for a rebellion!

The two dates people have found from deciphering thing was 2/29 and 5/17. 2/29 is now confirmed since next week from today is that exact date. My guess is the full album drops May 17th

It‘s actually the word for word translation from a Clancy Letter in german. The voice says: „This small eerie island has made me a weapon. We both believe“- and then it cuts out. After that follow some words in french (I sadly don’t speak french). The question remains if there is any correlation to why they chose german and french or if it’s just an artistic choice.

"together we create an inferno" - is convincing enough for me to believe that is the name of the album since tyler always says that the fans have an important role in the creation of the lore, now its kinda like we created this story together, concluding with this last album - inferno. At the same time, i'd like to bring a thought - clancy said in this video that vialism preaches that "self-destruction" is the only way to the paradise, and I automatically link that "paradise" and "inferno" are opposite concepts and Clancy is fighting against vialism, against self-destruction, and i think, against their paradise, thats why the Inferno becomes a thing in here.

5:23 Absolutely! The lore is fluid. Clancy was only a narrator, certainly not Tyler. Ned was outside the lore... and then the fans theorized, and in the end we have out of body experiences explaining how Tyler is Clancy, and NED is a Neuro-Expansion Device.

Me and you were man, of course I knew the Vessel album was in some way a part of the Dema lore to a lesser extent, sought of like an prologue section to everything that's going to happen with the next albums they released like Blurryface, Trench and Scaled and Icy, so cool. Vessel still remains my favourite by Twenty One Pilots out of the great discography, thay have yet top this album with their new one coming out soon.

So Clancy is putting the RED tape on the albums?!?!

There is also "A car, A torch, A death" from the self named album which the title may foreshadow either Clancy or Blurryface's death

I had a theory, what if… we all are Clancy? It doesn’t matter if we’re going through mental illness, there will be/has been a tough spot in our lives, right? What if we, like Clancy, fought to overcome those struggles, but failed, but tried again and again? And if we have passed those struggles, we’re coming back to them as a way to improve ourselves, like how Clancy is coming back to Trench. For the people who are still struggling (like me), we will be able to push through, with the help of the Banditos (other people who have overcome struggles). This is just a thought I had, but I’m SUPER stoked for the new album/single next week! I’ll be counting down with all of you guys! :)

I think this album will be the heaviest we've heard from them yet. Like Jumpsuit but even more. They are done running and hiding. The Banditos are officially on the offensive. I think we will see them tapping into the simmering rage. Not in an evil way...more of a vigilante justice way. Sometimes when an institution is as evil as Dema, there is no compromise and violence is required to right the wrong. As for Tyler/Clancy still having the black paint...he has finally realized that trying to get rid of the pain they represent has been part of what has kept him in the cycle. He is learning to instead embrace it and let it give him strength instead of being a weakness. The only way out is through. I can't wait for this album!!!

My day just skidded to a stop today. Now we must do what is most important. 😊

Here’s a note:) Nico was betrayed by Keons - a bishop who admires Clancy for his escape attempts. Keons seizes the dragon to crash into the submarine and free Clancy. So the bishops kill him.

i hope they do a world tour and come to australia for like a "THE CLANCY TOUR" or something cool like that and everyone comes in wearing red with the new red symbol OMG!!!!! i have been a fan since "Vessel" 2013 and i cried so much over this trailer of the lore from tyler and josh's excellence & talents...also us as fans being able to give them the credit they deserve over the years is the best part of being a twenty one pilots hardcore fan and watching this story unfold is INSANE!! the new album feels like we might get a mixture of "blurryface + trench" styled music....but bigger??!!! especially with the red and the tapes still being around. WE ARE SOOOO BACK!!!!!

A theory I saw is that we are DEMA citizens and when the people found the letters on the website, Clancy got famous and the Bishops took him to make the Scaled and Icy era.

Yes that's basically how they chose the islands name, they based it on the lyric from migraine , also in the outside music video when they are in the cave you can hear the melody from migraine

Also have you all looked into how the symbols for the skeleton clique ( on their backpack in the outside) look a lot like the ‘Norse Mythology’ symbol for compass? And that the meaning of this actually seems like it’s from Norse mythology a long time ago, but it’s not real? And the true meaning behind it is “the path” or “THE WAY” 🤔🤔🤔

Clancy is known in Dema because of the “concert” they play in Nico and the niners, and when they find the bandito jacket on the ground

As well-executed as it could be, I REALLY DON’T wanna see Clancy turn to the dark side and work with the Bishops or something, but the more I look at the teaser, the more sinister it looks, especially with all the red.

ik the story technically starts at heavydirtysoul but it also is technically a cycle so the story COULDDD start anywhere within the jumpsuit,natn,levitate, heavydirtysoul timeline. What I mean by that is Tyler already has yellow tape on his jacket when pulling it out of the trunk. How would he know that their colors are yellow if it was the first time. Actually you’re right that could be the case. I know Tyler says that he didn’t know if the Banditos existed until they showed up in the trench but something to think about.

I think i discovered something, the weird sounds from the final song at the end of the video is a romanian traditional instrument called bucium, i think its connecting with their concert in Romania.

I want a Netflix Series based on this so bad ❤

We noticed that when the killed keons you hear only 6 knife slashes but there’s 9 bishops. So shouldn’t we have heard 8 slashes? Idk if it will mean anything, but thought that was odd

Tyler say that there are 9 bishops but we can divide the 4 albums into 8 and the nine bishop is the new album (I''ts my theory))

@@Stolen.Potential I had heard there was lore in the past but I didn't realize it throughout ALL of their albums. Wild. I think it's really cool to see bands telling stories throughout multiple albums, another example I can think of is Sleep Token. It's something that I've always wanted to do myself actually, but currently I don't have a way to record any of my ideas. Regardless my interest in TøP has gone way up.

I'm a little confused about which bishop is dead... In the video Clancy claims it was Nico that was betrayed and who he seized, but the "weapon.jpg" image said "seize Keons" and it's Keons' tower that is taped over on the cover of the Blurryface album... I think Keons is dead, and it was called a betrayal to Nico because he’s the leader, so an act against the bishops at all would be classified as a betrayal of Nico, because it interferes with his plans.

He said to seize is what its called when you take over the body of a vessel. Keons helped release tyler/clancy with trash the dragon and so the bishops killed keons. making him an available vessel for clancy to seize. Hence, seize keons

@@adriannas.1311 So the way the Clancy video is put together is deceptive then, because when Clancy says "then Nico was betrayed" it shows the other bishops killing one of them, so the direct implication would be that the other bishops betrayed Nico, killing him.

From a political view, Dema represents the ageless force of tiranny that creates empires, states, countries. It creates huge, faceless masses of people that can be easily manipulated -or in this case used as a vessel. Meanwhile the Banditos embody the ever-present force of rebellion and brotherhood. This force creates much more democratic and still tribe-like communities. It is also much more in touch with nature and shamanic practices, as we can see they formed an alliance with magical creatures of the wild, like Ned

What if he’s going in there to free the rest of the people stuck in Dema, and he will need to sacrifice himself to do it (“we’ll win but not everyone will get out”)?

Maybe Clancy will face Blurryface and they kinda became even, like opposite forces with equal power that exist together, as yin yang from feng shui. When you have mental issues, you never overcome and vanish them, you need to learn how to coexist with them. They are there, showing themselves sometimes, but you learn how to always face them and make them shrink again

This is the first time a character (Clancy) has addressed Vialism in the LORE. Tyler has definitely discussed Vialism outside of the albums and music videos, but this is the first we’re hearing of it from characters within the universe.
