I did the same thing, I got sick of people asking if I was muslim. I never lived in the country my name came from and the culture is not part of my life. I dont like that people assume that you ashamed of something, I dont care about people knowing where my genetics are from but I want a name that is in line with my culture and values, an islamic name doesnt do that for me.

Wallahi that’s sad akhi, being born into Islam is the greatest privilege you can have, I wholeheartedly make dua for you to come back to Allah, Islam is the best way of life, you should be grateful, have some fear of Allah before you say this….
